I like to admire the mountains, see the climbers climb them and climb the viewpoint to appreciate nature.

INSTRUCTION AT THE END: Very nice hike to get to the top of El Toro. However, the trail is difficult to find, very steep, lots of cacti, and a few light climbing spots. To get to the trail, you have to pass the EPC gate, pass the gate with metal beams on the ground and walk again on the main path. A little further there will be a long concrete wall about 2m high on the right. Walk along the concrete wall on the main path to the end of the wall. A little later there will be a dry river bed crossing the road. Follow the river bed to the right. The start of the trail is at the end of it. There will be an El Toro sign on the trail eventually. Note: the Google map is not reliable on the departure location.

This is a great hike... but getting to the right trail head is tricky. After you leave the paved road enter the small creek to your right (If you are walking from Hidalgo). Its past the entrance to the chalet. Walk here for a bit, through thorny plants, until you are forced to go on the left bank and cross over to your right shortly after. the trail here becomes clear and a sign saying "el toro" shows up a little after.

The beta on this place is deeply lacking. There are a number of low cement walls and dry river beds / gravel washes after the cattle pass. Hiked up a. Bed for a while don’t both. No signs

This is a great and technical hike that summits El Toro! Bring extra water and a few snacks. Sunscreen if it’s a sunny day as the sun hits that face all day.
