Best restaurant on Stone Island, and great service. Food and drinks are awesome and bathrooms are always clean.

What a wonderful, welcoming place! There are many choices along the restaurant line there at Stone Island, but in my opinion, El Velero is the best! They have a great (and big) menu, the family cooking for you in the back, there are places to bask in the sun, places to stay out of the sun, and live music! Not to mention the amazing massage by Sonia tucked in a discreet corner of the restaurant. Her massage really hit the spot! She has amazing techniques that will release your muscles so you can dance the afternoon away (that’s what I did!) All in all, El Velero is a MUST on Stone Island!! It’s a one of a kind experience!

Not enough workers. Couldn't get service. Had to go to bar to get drinks. So we didn't order food. Saw people wait over an hour for food.

We are there 3 or 4 days a week and have been customers for a number of years. The staff is awesome! The owner, Michael, is absolutely the best! The food and drinks are also great! No doubt, the first choice when visiting Stone Island ??

This was a great place on Stone Island. The food was excellent (flan and beer battered shrimp was my fav) and the service was really attentive. The fun and colorful atmosphere inside feels really welcoming. They have the sweetest little parrot. Otherwise, you can just grab a lounger and an umbrella and everything will be brought you to. Everything takes a little longer in Mexico to make but it definitely tastes fresh and from scratch.

Amazing food. The have a hidden menu. Ask for Molcajete. See my pics. They don’t charge fore using their chairs. Awesome beach too!

A bohemian oasis on a gentle beach. It has the primitive feel of early beach life. Less finished so to speak. We visited 4 times over the two weeks we were in Mazatlan. Everyone of the 11 that came with us had excellent meals! The breakfast was superb. Try the pancakes and the french toast on different days. Garlic fish fillet, see picture, was mouth watering.
