I frequent this place
Its hit and miss a bit on if/when they are open, if we keep them busy they will be open all the time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We lost El Sarape (when owner retired) around the corner (Where Bobby's Terazza took over) and thought we would never find a great chimichanga (At Elena's it is called; Chimi Ranchero - Chicken Pork or beef 65.00) again... But ah... Elena's to the rescue... now to try everything else on this menu, for this was outstanding! Talk about filling a craving. The staff was so very friendly and appreciative, and we actually fell into a special: Senior Wednesday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a wonderful restaurant owned by a very warm, friendly and helpful gentleman, Jose, who is an excellent host! We are new to Mexico, have been here for only five days, yet we have dined several times at Elena’s. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is cozy. There is always a plentiful amount of meat and seafood in the various dishes, and the portions are for the hungry ? My husband and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a comfortable setting to dine in, along with very tasty and affordable food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My mom and I went there today and loved the Pollo al Carbon and the Grilled Chicken Tacos. The chips, salsa, refríed beans, flour tortillas, guacamole and pico de gallo were the best I’ve had Lakeside so far! Note that there are several interior dining areas that are cooler than sitting outside on a warm day. Also, street side parking is plentiful and Elena’s delivers.
