Emilia Tulum - 77760 Tulum

I don't see where the positive reviews for this place come from. It's pricey and the food mediocre. My order was cold and the sauce that was on the Langostino taco was bland no flavor profile like the description on the menu. I had to keep trying to protect my food from a fly that was surrounding our table. The margarita was not good either too much ice. The utensils and the plate were no very clean.

Good food. I liked the atmosphere. Service was a little slow for lunch but we are on vacation so it's OK. Looks like it might be a popular place in the evenings. I had the hotdog which was surprising good. The burger looked very good. The fries were the best.

Went for breakfast, it was wonderful. A simple mushroom omelette and French toast brought me back for dinner. Where our waitress Sol, was one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had. She had the entire place it seems, but kept us feeling like she was right there when we needed her each time. Her service was outstanding! The food was superb for dinner as well! We will be back!!!!

After finally giving in to this restaurant’s great curbside appeal, my wife and I decided to drop in and get a late breakfast.... I had the French toast and Lebanese Eggs... hands down the best breakfast I have ever had on vacation!!! But beyond the food, Gustavo and the rest of the staff offered such amazing service. We felt like the only customers in the place despite it being fairly busy. Soooo come diner time it was an easy choice of where to eat.. I stuffed myself with a huge fried fish while my wife enjoyed the salmon... the food is so well seasoned and leaves nothing more desired. Sol our waitress was lovely and prompt with her service. To the owner: Though this is not an endorsed review, I would happily take another order of the French toast as payment!!!

Delicious entrees at a great price. Nice, romantic ambiance. I recommend the grouper fish dish! This place was an excellent way to end my Birthday festivities!

Had lunch here today. Would not visit ever again and would highly recommend anyone considering to rethink. The only reason I am giving it a 2 star and not one is cause the manager in charge actually saw something was off and came to check on us. I’ll list the issue for ppl trying to quickly glance through what’s wrong. 1. Ordered a burger for my son(4 year old), I asked if it came with fries as some places don’t and I would order extra if that’s the case. They said yes and. Then it came with 5 pieces of fries(wth) , manager did try to fix this and an extra order or fries came in 30 min later ( also a disgraceful portion size) 2. Prices: absolutely not worth it, I have been here a month and this place is cut of from reality. Would have never visited again on just this alone. Ordered a fusion water(why not), 130 mxn and it wasn’t fusion water at all. They had likely thrown in a strawberry in there like an hour ago at best. I should have been alerted when the guy actually asked me what I want in the water. ( strawberry/ cucumber / and water melon) 3. Automatically added gratuity after horrible everything and then shortchanged me even further when returning the change. We were 1 adult and 2 kids. I understand they add gratuity at places for large parties. But for 3 ppl for lunch. I have eaten at over 30 places in tulum and any place who does tbis(this was second) is likely a tourist trap and I wish I had avoided. 4. Food was average at best made worse by horrible prices made it taste even worse. I’ll add a picture of my receipt later. I asked for it to post here later.

This place is simply OUTSTANDING. The customer service that I’ve received in Tulum overall has been hot or miss but at Emilia’s it was not only a hit but a BANGER. My friend and I came here looking for a nicer place with reasonable prices for my birthday dinner and we were not disappointed. Lots of other people complain about the prices of this restaurant in the area but all of the restaurants in Tulum Pueblo have their menus available before you even sit down so that decision should be made before. The food here was delicious but what really stood out was the customer service. Thank you so much to the entire Emilia team but ESPECIALLY Pedro for making my birthday amazing!!!

What was invested in the atmosphere and is lacking in the service, quality of the food, variety of choices but definitely comes up in the pricing. Take your ig pics but don't expect too much. We went during a slow 2 p.m. weekday and did not think it would take so long or so many items would be unavailable. The octopus tostada is the single item pictured. 5% fee for cc usage.
