They are thieves, they exchange your jewelry for imitations, be very careful when they play, ask them to stain themselves and in plain view, these pawn shops are not comfiable, much eye that they do not deceive you, they are not reliable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Empeños Mexicanos occupies a gigantic building on the Periferico with a cluster of well-announced other businesses. This area is also apparently a sitio de taxis. There's always a line of taxis out front and a good deal of commotion as a crowd of people moves here and there. When I first saw this area, I was walking down Trujano, quiet up to here, and emerged suddenly to the apparent unknown heart of Oaxaca. There are roads going every which way, an intense amount of traffic, and a view to the fringes of town I'd never before experienced. While I didn't pawn anything at Empeños Mexicano, it was a temporary guidepost in this new urban wilderness.
