Last year I went to an evaluation, in which $1,000 was paid for the ultrasound and the seminogram study, we hoped to have an accurate evaluation or pre-diagnosis (which we believed was the case), however at the end of the consultation simply to my They told me about my PCOS (which I had been suffering from for years) and that I had endiometriosis (they didn't explain anything else to me, but they painted me as the worst scenario). The time for the consultation simply ran out and the only treatment they put on the table for us was an In Vitro Fertilization with a cost greater than $100K and with a time limit to "make a discount or promotion effective", for one attempt and without giving further details of a prediagnosis. At that time I felt that hopes were low and I did not feel any empathy from the clinic. They were insisting by telephone to find out if we would pay for the treatment, to which we decided. The following month I went for a second opinion (which was not at Gynfertyl or Fertil Center, the only options I thought there were in Aguascalientes). I was not offered IVF in the first place, my medical treatment was different and not as extreme as I had been told I needed before. On the other hand, I wish you could take the time to truly give accurate information to all those who come with you, in my case I can say that they were not empathic, that it was a simple query to take my data, ultrasound and results without giving more information. They gave me the worst picture of my hormonal health when in reality it was not, today I am grateful that I did not invest more than $100K when the path could have been another. In social networks they allude to the fact that each couple and treatment is different, but I could see that they are not, that they are extremists to reach IVF. Unfortunately in Aguascalientes there are very few assisted reproduction options and we all run to these options, I hope that people who want to have a baby can get all the possible information, real costs and benefits as patients, because it is a great investment that we make with everything the possible effort and that they are not left with a single option. Additionally, when they did the vaginal ultrasound, they inserted the device without any protection, it was clean, I suppose it was disinfected, I don't know if it was enough, but days later it gave me an infection. The ultrasounds that had been done on me on previous occasions always had some type of protection on the device and that was the first time that it was not like that. I wish they could pay more attention to those details.
