I currently go to this location. The equipment is good and people at front desk are nice. I have noticed the trainers only want to work with him the hot girls and they body worship while training them. But he ladies must like it they came back day after day.

It's highly suspicious that, when reading these reviews, anyone who states their job as "travel guide" give this gym 6 stars. Also it seem that the only other reviews to give 6 stars were from attractive women, who probably receive "attention" that other don't receive. Most other reviews seem more realistic, as they give between 1-4 stars. Many people are staying the same things: dirty, the trainers don't care unless you pay them or you are female and it's over priced, with not enough functioning equipment. I agree, the place is a fashion statement rather than an effective gym. Very poor and rude service as well.

It was nice clean but the pandemic cause the place to close certain things. Which is understandable.

DO NOT COME HERE! Worst gym in Cancun although it's one of the largest. The customer service here is crazy bad, if you ask for anything expect a very rude remark and nobody to help you, this is our first day and already looking to cancel. Also the only gym in cancun that tries to make you wear a mask on the cardio equipment, dangerous and illegal to try and mandate. The only gym that requires you to bring a FULL size towel, yes. A FULL size towl. If it's not a full size towel and you bring a gym towel, they will deny you entry to the gym. Only gym in cancun that does it. Also they have a snack area, but we have tried 3 times now to buy something and the refuse our service everytime and say they are sold out of EVERYTHING on the menu, every single day. If you truly are selling out every single day by 5pm, and your open till 10pm, buy more! A lot more! All services are shut down too, but you must pay full price. No sauna, no steam room, no jacuzzi, half of equipment shut down, so 60% of amenities and gym closed, but full price. Look this gym up on multiple review sites and you will see how bad they are. It deserves to be shut down.

I love this gym! I'm a Canadian who vacations in Mexico quite often and Cancun is frequently my start point because of the unbeatable cheap flights. This time I decided to stay a couple of weeks in Cancun before heading out to other areas just to relax. I stayed at a nearby apartment hotel and needed somewhere where I can do swim lapses and workout. The hotel manager told me about this gym that was owned by Alex Rodriguez. I was only in the area for a week (another week at a hotel further away that had a gym) . The wonderful kind young woman at the reception ( I forgot her name, I got her to write it down but lost the paper.. she is THE BEST and NICEST SWEETEST PERSON who works there!!) served me and got me ready with a one week membership. She is the only one who spoke perfect and fluent english and from what I hear she wants to learn french too!!! I paid 900 pesos ( $65) for an unlimited membership including the use of the pool, hot tub, showers, towels, exercise machine, weights and exercise classes including aquafit, spining, Zumba. Incredible deal. Yes .. its pricey but most places I vacation at, do not allow one week memberships or daily visit fees. Energy gym does plus they also have daily visit fees of $300 pesos. The super nice front desk woman gave me a tour of the gym. Amazing. People there are also pretty serious about fitness. I feel bad to say that in the whole week that I was there I planned to use the facilities every day twice a day but only managed to go 5 out of 7 days once a day. I did an hour lapses at the pool . It wasn't perfect. The pool got really crowded at the times that I went and 2 people in a lane was really though as the lanes are very narrow and small. There are 4 lanes all together. The middles ones are for fast and medium swimmers while the side lanes are for slow and leisure swimmers. The pool water was slightly cooler which I did not like. Although there is a lifeguard on site, he is not always present and watching over the safety of swimmers. If you are swimming during an aquafit class, the music is so loud and unbearable, it makes the swimming not enjoyable. The changes room is big and spacious. Your access card is also the card that locks and unlocks you locker. Blow dryers are available and so is soap in the showers. Shower water is unfortunately not hot. It gets warm and then start getting less and less warm after 10 minutes. The sauna is AMAZING! It is amazingly relaxing. It is located in the woman's change room and right beside it is a steam room. I did not like the steam room too much as I found every time I went in there was a bad smell! I did not get to use the equipment this time but I really hope that next time I will! The gym has two floors filled with treadmills, elliptical, spinning bikes, free weights, even a stair climbing machine that I have never seen before. There is a coffee/juice bar right beside the reception, just like most modern gyms. There are many people during the day but since there are so many exercise machines, there is always space to workout. I found my gym in Cancun and I highly recommend it to anyone who are not only tourists staying in a hotel with no gym but locals who want to stay fit too! This is an awesome place.

Great gym so far. Been going for a week, will update later. A locals' favorite - didn't see any other expats. The first floor has the protein shake bar (a bit pricey), all the machines you could possibly need (including some Pilates machines I haven't seen before), squat racks, Olympic lifting area with bumper plates, free weights, CrossFit tires, locker rooms with card-activated lockers, and the pool. The upper floor has spin class bicycles and other amenities I haven't explored yet. 11am-5pm memberships are ~1300 MXN for the first month and ~800 MXN for the subsequent months. They have yoga and other classes (see the photo). The music is dance/EDM, no obscene hip-hop lyrics like in some other gyms. Some downsides: * Most trainers seem to not speak much English. * Only two foam rolls, and they're the soft kind. * Hard to find barbell clamps * The machines have those annoying on/off switches for weight selection * No torso rotation machine * There are two entrances, one of which is a slow elevator that sometimes breaks down, and the other is a catacomb of rusty old stairs in a concrete maze going through the labyrinth that the Las Americas mall is. * The signup process takes photocopies of your credit card and your ID. You need to sign in ~10 different places and your signature needs to match that on the ID. They have a lot of data on you, on PLAIN PAPER, which is a bit of an identity theft risk.

I was told this is a “luxury” gym, and it’s not close to anything like I’m used to in the US. The machines are all old and dirty, you might want to wear sunglasses while working out because there are huge uncovered glass walls where the sun pours in directly on your face as you workout. They make you wear a mask while working out and it’s March 2022! Not to mention that the men’s sauna/steam room/shower area made my partner and I very uncomfortable. There were a lot of men in there that spent 30 minutes + in there pretending to do stuff but they were just watching all the other men changing. Luckily I only bought a 5-day guest pass since I’m visiting, when I come back I’ll find a different facility. I’m giving it 3 stars rather than less because the gym did serve its purpose and I liked that you could have protein shakes made for you when you finish working out.
