My partner and I spent a week and a half learning here, and Fred worked dedicatedly to accommodate our schedule and different Spanish levels. My small (3-4) beginner group had a fabulous teacher who was perceptive to the individuals' learning needs. She was clear, engaging, and encouraging. Muchas gracias!!!

I have taken private lessons per week during two months and can definitely recommend this school. I received high quality teaching and had a great time. The Director of the school has also shown great flexibility to accommodate my special request in terms of schedule.

The teachers are great no matter who you get. I have had 3 or 4 over the years and all were good. Fred, the Director of the School, is very accommodating and does his best to give you the type of class you want - individual or group. They do a great job of matching levels for those in a group setting. It should be noted that as of January 2018 the School moved to Cipres #819 but is still in Fracc. Flamingos

My family and I decided to stay for a longer period in Mazatlan (3 months). I had a very good experience at the Spanish school and improved my Spanish. The school promotes an open and friendly walk-in-and-learn-Spanish environment. To maximise the outcome of the sessions/courses Fred Laphen and co-workers do a good job to identify your level of Spanish before starting. I still benefitted the most from the single or double lessons. You can simply go faster! It may be a good idea to bring your own Spanish books, but I am also the sort of person who prefers my own books compared to photo copies. My recommendation is that you contact the school as fast as possible when you have decided to study Spanish in Mazatlan. It gives everyone time to prepare.

I was lucky enough to spend a month studying with Fred and staff. I had a wonderful time and would return in a heartbeat. I had private lessons with Marialena, Rosie, and Carla. I had not studied since i was in college 40 years ago. I was amazed at how much came back. Not only did Fred and company provide an excellent learning opportunity, they helped me navigate the city of Mazatlan as well. A very positive experience and I recommend it highly.

I was only in Mazatlan for 3 weeks but Fred did a great job of placing me with 2 excellent teachers. The school is small with 5 different teachers which do private and/or group lessons depending on what each student is looking for. The costs were very affordable given the high quality of the teaching. I would definitely return.

I attended Fred’s school for two weeks in the beginning of January. I had never visited Mazatlan. I found the school online and began inquiring via email. Fred was extremely prompt, friendly and informative when corresponding with me. I made an error when booking my dates and he was able to change things around last minute for me. My teacher, Maria Elena, was so warm and friendly. We were able to talk easily and the classes whipped by. The school provided all the workbooks so I only had to bring notepaper and a pen. I chose to stay with a homestay family (Arranged by Fred) and this was the highlight of my visit to Mazatlan. Pedro and Lulu are wonderful people, their homestay suite is both private and convenient to the school. Pedro is an amazing cook. ;) I tagged along with them on various outings and learned so much about Mazatlan (which I now love). I hope I can return soon.

I had a great time studying Spanish here. I have studied Spanish at language schools in other parts of Mexico, in Guatemala and in Ecuador and found the teachers at Spanish For All were the best I've encountered so far. I worked with three different teachers while I was studying at the school and felt that all the teachers were very experienced at working with students of all ages and abilities, at conveying the course material, adapting to different learning styles and providing the best outcome possible for their students - these are great people who love their job and care about what they do! Fred was great at accommodating our last minute arrival, organizing a schedule that worked with us during our holidays and making sure we were happy with our classes and teachers; he does a great job of running the school while keeping the whole experience very affordable. I hope I have the chance to study at this school again and I'd recommend that anyone visiting Mazatlan do the same!
