walk around the dam, I ate quesadillas and tacos at the entrance to the dam, later I had a michelada and ate a corn, it looks safe, you have to go with mountain shoes (non-slip and comfortable hiking-type boots for more comfort) there are bathrooms and they charge you $5 pesos
