★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff are super duper lovely, incredibly helpful when we needed amenities and guidance. Room can get very damp and humid at times due to the open shower floor plan in the room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overpriced tiny room typical of tulum. No amenities no phone no tv no music speaker. Not even a private area for toilet and shower it’s all just one cement room with some cheap macrame. Like i said typical Tulum. All hype no substance. Oh wait and way way over priced

- there is free water dispenser by the front desk but they ran out of water on one of the mornings. Water bottles in the mini fridge are obviously not free
- actually, the website does not say that it's a continental breakfast anywhere. My review is to let other potential guests know that it's not a breakfast buffet or anything like that. You get a menu that's for hotel guests only, and the offerings are much smaller than the cafe's offering for external guests. You get a small glass of juice and coffee with it.
- location is good but the one downside is how far it is from town and beach. You can rent a bike from them for free

It was okay. The room is bare but that's Tulum. I wish there were somewhere to sit inside the room because it was way too hot by the pool. The shower is a bit awkward because it's open space, but at least they are honest about it. The rainfall shower kind of grimy. Could use some descaling solution.
The breakfast is stingy. It's basilly a reduced version of their normal menu, which looked pretty good.
Location hard to find for drivers. Tell them it's on Calle 6 and 7, or enter it onto google maps in their phone.
Tulum is expensive so expect to pay 150mxn to get to the edge of town, 200mxn to get to the centre, and 300-500 to the beach area.
Water bottles are not free. But they have a dispenser. And they were a bit taken back when I asked for more toilet paper lol. C'mon this is Mexico of course we need lots!
Beds are pretty comfortable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A gem in Tulum!!! I am so glad we found this small, quaint, beautiful hotel for a first time trip to Tulum. We loved the location because it was not at the beach, nor in the middle of the town. It was off a side road which was perfect for us! The staff was not only impeccable, but Anola almost treated us like family (she convinced us that 2PM was not the time of day to go walking since it was so hot :)). Gabriel, Wilber, Erick and Mario...all staff members made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed! The rooms are minimalistic but perfect with a boho vibe and nice private balcony. The onsite spa is beyond amazing as was the onsite restaurant that provided breakfast with your stay (large portions) and lunch and dinner for purchase. We arrived late afternoon the first day and Gabriel made us fabulous drinks and dinner (he suggested the shrimp tacos and I am glad he did!!). The front desk is available 24/7 to help with taxis, recommendations, wine glasses, etc. We simply could not have asked for more!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had such a lovely time here. Alma was amazing. Had 15 minutes in the sauna. the 90 minute massage, mini facial, and the herbs bath. Perfect experience. Alma even let me stay longer while she took care of some other clients. Great place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a 90 min Mayan Ritual Massage with Alma and it was incredible. I didn't stay at the hotel but it's cute and the staff were friendly and welcoming when I arrived. The spa area is small but beautiful. Alma mixes her own blend of fresh herbs to use throughout and it's a full body sensory experience including massage, essential oils, music and sound therapy. I left feeling completely relaxed and uplifted.
Given the prices elsewhere it offers incredible value for money. I'm sure this would be twice the price closer to the beach.
I wish I'd been able to try some of the other treatments.

The room is boho chic and had everything we needed. Safe location with great restaurants and cute outdoor bars just walking distance from the hotel. Don't hesitate, book now! Thank you to the Era hotel staff for a wonderful experience.
