★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been coming to Ernestos for many years. The homemade Tortilla Soup and Ribs are to die for. We are in Puerto Vallarta for 3 weeks and have come here 3 times already. The atmosphere and people are so nice, pleasant and very welcoming. It is a family owned restaurant. If you should come to Puerto Vallarta make it a point to eat here you will never regret it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ribs were excellent but on an all you can eat, they never asked our table if we wanted any more ribs. Probably because they ran out!
It was so crowded and noisy, we never go the mashed potatoes or vegetables that we ordered. Instead we got an dozen mushy french fries. We had to ask twice for our beer and margaritas. If the food wasn't so good, they'd get a 1 rating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been in Mexico for a week and was not impressed with the food thus far mainly because I stuck to one resort. However this place charmed me. The owner was laid back and honest and did not desperately try to up-sale us through aggression or obsequiousness. Portion sizes are large and food quality is good. Funny story: My wife and I did not bring enough pesos for our bill at the end of the night and I had to go look for an ATM. It took a while since there was only one bank that would accept my card. Anyway by the time I got back my wife was near freaking out that I was lost, however, if not for the restaurant owner taking care of her I am sure she would have truly had a breakdown. They took her in with open arms and gave her a free glass of wine. Definitely a great family that runs this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We walked here today for lunch and we ordered the enchilada. I had the chicken and my husband had shrimp. It was delicious. We got chips and salsa and also a basket of breads to go with our meal. Service was great, very friendly. Open air on all sides, large area to sit, very well distanced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good service and the food was AWESOME. Ribs were fall off the bone tender. Orange chicken was DELICIOUS. The Buritos were large and tasty and my Beef Fajitas had THE best glavors i have every had. Our new Favorite place.....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been there a number of times through the years and this lunch trip was for the tortilla soup. And they did not disappoint. Super fresh salsa and chips to start. Tasty lemonada, medium size soup and toasted bread. Fast friendly service. A hearty meal.
