★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Must see in tampico. The beach in tampico/madero is large. There are hotels, restaurants, bars, bathrooms . Not as extravagant as places like Cancun but cheap place to bring family. Also has a all inclusive hotel club Maeve. Lots of shops for nick necks. The light house road is now just for pedestrians. It's a very nice walk out to the lighthouse and you can feed the raccoons. Also nice open air restaurants at the beginning of the walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing time! Its a bit of a long walk, so bring sunblock and a cap. There are tons of raccoons wandering about, if you want to feed them you can. Everyone fishing is super friendly and the view of the ocean is absolutely stunning!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice location. Bring some food that's not salty for the raccoons down the boardwalk after you eat. Make sure you bring a lot of water. Give them water. They need water more than they do food. They eat very well but I bet they would love some dog food or something different than chips. If you brought a bag of dog food the kids will have fun feeding them. I'm sure you would save money also. When you get to the end of the Boardwalk there are many raccoons they will come running out to eat. They don't like salty foods. No popcorn. You can bring the biggest bag of dog food you can carry and they will eat it all I'm sure you'll see that many raccoons but remember water.
