One of the oldest schools in the population and one that enjoys a great reputation (earned "by the pulse") among the Zacapenses, is this: the José Ma. Morelos Federal High School; a well-planned and centrally built venue (only three blocks from the Morelos market), carefully painted, with excellent teachers, where every year hundreds of young people who want to excel pass through here ....... but in distant times they did not it was like that, it was a big old house, made of adobe, broken tiles, stone floor and dirt, poorly painted and half-destroyed, where at night only workers studied, for what was known as the "night" school, or the "workers'" school, those who studied here called it "the dovecote" because pigeons nested in the lids of that sad construction.
