I didn't know that you stay in the house with a family and you cannot use their private space such as living room or kitchen. Except for the pool which was dirty when we arrived. The worst part was that the host did not allow me to have air-conditioning on before 20h even though I was in the room before and really could use some cooling. It never said anything about this on the booking website and I paid for it to be on. So I was really mad she just makes up this rule and doesn't consider at all to help you

It turned out to be in a very bad overall shape and it suddenly stopped going the same day 40 kms from Playa del Carmen (transmission failure). We spent 4 hours to tow it back to the owner. They didn't return 55 usd from the deposit saying that I was "riding the scooter wrong" and this is why it failed so I should cover the repair (belt replacement) cost. This is the first time I face such a nonsense. Better go to any street rental and get a bike there. Non consiglio.
