A little bit of heaven and tranquility on vacation. Conveniently located across the street, near the Sheraton Bugenvilia hotel, Essencia, is the perfect get away for a Massage, at the fraction of the cost; $45 for 90 minutes, of pure relief. I highly recommend it!

This was the best deep tissue massage I've ever had so far. Exceeded my expectations by far. Perla is an amazing masseuse. The place is sparkling clean and newly renovated. Highly recommend.

Negotiate the price before the massage. Some girls add tip without your consent.

Thank you for the lovely manicure and pedicure! The service was done with much care, she even recommended some cute nail art for me. Here’s what to expect if you’re a foreigner (I am a “gringa”...). I didn’t want to pay expensive prices at the hotel I was staying so wanted to check a place nearby. It’s a really close distance from the Sheraton, less than a 5 min walk. Same day, I made an appointment for later in the evening. The owner speaks some English, and I made by with my awful Spanish :) we found a way to understand each other! Rest assured, if you don’t speak much Spanish, you can figure out a way to make “una cita” (an appointment). During the nail appointment, I sat in a chair and soaked my nails in a simple plastic containers. Don’t expect a fancy pedicure chair, it’s much more simple. But that doesn’t mean that the quality of manicure/pedicure isn’t great, the staff were very polite/kind and took great care of me! Thank you for the lovely nails that I will happily show off for the rest of my vacation ❤️

Bella and Miriam give the best massages! The table was very comfortable, firm but still plush. The music was lovely and the high speed fan felt great and made me feel like I was outdoors. The 90 minutes also included a mini facial and aromatherapy. Miriam also washed her hands in front of me and wore a mask the whole time which was very reassuring. I can’t wait to go back! They also have a repeat client card where you can get a free mini service, like fish therapy after 4 visits. I also got a great pedicure—the area where they do them is a little cramped but she did such a good job I’m willing to overlook the slight discomfort. Especially after my total was less than 1000 pesos, which is less than $50 for a 90 MINUTE MASSAGE AND PEDICURE!

Fantastic, very clean Spa. Very professional and well trained staff. Araceli, the owner, is so sweet and cute. We always come to this Spa when we are in town.

The staff is really good and the massage is really good as well. So why the 1 star? The problem here is how this place is managed and arranged. For the price of 500 peso for 1 hour there should be air conditioning, there are places in vallarta that cost 350 that have air conditioning but here they have none. Instead if it is too hot they can turn on a cieling fan that is so loud you can barely hear the music, and not a fan noise loud, it's like a grinding noise that is incredibly annoying. Still I decided I would just deal with it and get the massage. Next they have these fish tanks that are right adjacent to the massage room that you are in , and your room has the big gap in the wall where the ceiling is so you can hear everything outside the massage room, so at the 25 minute mark a group of people came in to use the fish tank feeder thing and of course talking the whole time which is audibly now louder than the grinding ceiling fan above me. After 5 minutes I had to ask how long it's been, she said 30 minutes and I said OK let's just finish here. So 30 minute massage.... 400 pesos! I tried to explain 300 is fair and they just assured me it had to be 400, for a loud not relaxing 30 minute massage. I had a similar experience last year I went twice, both times it was super hot in there and one time they were I guess baby sitting kids in the back so loud kid noises and the other time I think they were doing a manicure, again right outside the massage room, so just talking the whole time. This can be a nice place but they need to create an environment that is conducive to giving a relaxing massage: that includes air conditioning and not loud talking right outside the massage rooms. Until then I will just continue to walk another 5 minutes towards the melacon where there are cheaper more relaxing places to get a massage.
