★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yup, thieves. Currently in a dispute with the station and Capital One. If they run your card and then afterward tell you the machine is "broken", just leave. Do not let them run it again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The attendant will say your card is declined but charge your card. They tried charging my card $348 American dollars 4 separate times to my card. If this happens to you at Gulf, call the company because it needs to be shut down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place always has a scam. The new thing is switching 20 bills with 500 dollar bills. Both are the same blue color and when I payed with a 500 bill he gave me back a 20 and shrugged his shoulders suddenly he did not speak English. Do NOT pay cash.....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place is full of attendants that will scam you every which way. Pretended that the first card machine did not work and that they cancelled the transaction. Then processed the normal transaction. A few days later, I noticed an additional charge for 4X the amount I paid for in gas. These other reviews confirm that this is nothing new.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So many red flags but I gave the overnight attendant at 5:30am this morning the benefit of the doubt. Tried to make nice conversation with me but in the end, he scammed me about $40US. More mad at myself for not trusting my gut that something was fishy.
Didn’t let you see the amount on the credit card machine. Jammed receipt. Gave you a pre printed receipt.
If you’re reading this, it might be too late for you also.
Trust your gut!
Ensure you see the amount for all credit card transactions in mexico. If they don’t show it, hit cancel on the device and have them show you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SCAM. This place charged my card an extra $74 USD. I have text alerts, so whenever a transaction is made I get a text message. Well, when they scammed me, I immediately received two transaction charges. One for the gas, the other for the scam. I immediately confronted the pump attendants about it and they refunded me in cash. They claimed they “accidentally charged my card for something else.” I cannot stress enough how important it is to have text alerts on your credit card. Most major credit cards have this ability, and you can set it up online. It’s saved me from a lot of fraud, and I am notified about illegitimate purchases immediately.
