★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hoy ubicamos y documentamos la estación San Marcos, en el actual municipio de Rafael Lara Grajales, en Puebla. Formaba parte de una ruta del Ferrocarril Interoceánico que partía de Veracruz y concluía en puebla. Estas son las estaciones por donde pasaba aquel tren: Veracruz puerto, continuaba hacia Santa Fe, Vargas, La Antigua, Salmoral, San Francisco de las Peñas, Chichicaxtle, Tamarindo, Rinconada, Carrizal, Chavarrillo, Muñóz, Pacho, Jalapa, Banderilla, Cruz Verde, Las Vigas, Rubín, Perote, Limon, Tepeyahualco, Oriental (tenía conexión a Teziutlán), Salitral, San Marcos, La Venta, Acajete, Amozoc, para finalmente llegar a Puebla. ¿No te parece fascinante?
Todo el esplendor ferroviario quedó reducido a estaciones en ruinas, muy pocas están conservadas o medio habilitadas, otras más han sido presa del vandalismo.
Today we locate and document the San Marcos station, in the current municipality of Rafael Lara Grajales, in Puebla. It was part of a route of the Interoceanic Railroad that started from Veracruz and ended in Puebla. These are the stations where that train passed: Veracruz port, it continued towards Santa Fe, Vargas, La Antigua, Salmoral, San Francisco de las Peñas, Chichicaxtle, Tamarindo, Rinconada, Carrizal, Chavarrillo, Muñoz, Pacho, Jalapa, Banderilla, Cruz Verde, Las Vigas, Rubín, Perote, Limon, Tepeyahualco, Oriental (had a connection to Teziutlán), Salitral, San Marcos, La Venta, Acajete, Amozoc, to finally reach Puebla. Isn't it fascinating?
All railway splendor was reduced to dilapidated stations, very few are preserved or half enabled, others have been the prey of vandalism.
