★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SCAM ALERT!!! Ruined our day in Cancun! Already prepaid in full on EUROPCAR website for 2 day car rental. We have AMEX car rental insurance (which we have used to cover car rental insurance while traveling in 20+ countries). On arrival, told us they don’t accept credit card car insurance, that we have to pay the full value of the car in deposit ($10,000 USD) to take the car, or to buy their insurance in store for triple the price of the rental, then we called EROPCAR to ask for refund (hung up on us and never picked up again. Rejected our proof of car insurance from AMEX. Ended up paying $800 USD for a 2 day car rental. When we asked them to print out the receipt they refused.

We delayed for one hour delay and they said that they don’t have a car of my category because i’m late so i have to pay extra for more expensive car or wait for the next car that should be returned. We had to wait there for 3 hours with kid. Nice beginning of the vacation

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve rented here twice. First time in April, all great. Second time last week, they’re keeping 800$ for no reason, and after delivery of the rental car (all great, no damage or anything wrong) they are still retaining my money, reimbursement should’ve happened three days ago. Several emails and WhatsApp contacts later I still haven’t gotten my money back.
Please reconsider as other companies offer better prices, better service and will not hold your money for longer than 24h after delivery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They’ll force you to buy their car insurance (I had to pay $160 for 3 days in addition to the $270 car reservation) even if you have a car insurance of your own or a credit card that includes car insurance internationally. Alternatively, they give you the super “generous” option of leaving a $10,000 USD deposit to cover the cost of the car. I should also mention that the basic insurance has a deductible of $1000 USD.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They are scammers! Stay off that company. They try to trick customers to pay $$$$ of money. After negotiating i achieved to get a fair price wich was 25% of the price they wanted at first time! I saw how other customers did not have that knowledge and payed way to much. The employees are careless and teached to pull money out of customers pockets. On return I was missing about 3 Liters of gasoline in the tank to be half full (as I picked up) and they charged me a full tank! (35 USD) I refused to pay and wanted to fill up the missing 3Liters myself at the gas station which was 30meters away right next to the return place. But they would not let me because they already closed the contract?!? How is that related? The key and car was still right next to me but he said he will reduce the charge from my deposit even if I go now to fill up the missing gasoline… thats so sad. They ruin tourist vacation and travel experience in mexico although the country itself has so much to offer in nature. Bottom lining I consider them as Criminals, I wish someone could do something to charge them or shut the company down. My money is gone now, so as much more from other tourists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would give "0" Stars but unfortunately it's not possible. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. Booked a car XL size for 9am. Arrived 9.30am and they told me this class isn't available anymore because I'm late. We would need a upgrade and have to pay more. Told him that car was booked and why he gave it away. after this discussion he agreed that car wasn't there at 9am either. Couldn't solve the problem and I had to pay for a smaller Car!!! as mine wasn't available. i agreed as I thought that we can get the money back from Rentalcars.com. But he showed the "downgrad" not as this, on the invoice it's mentioned as insurance instead. clever screwing guy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give this company a zero I would. First I book through them online and pay before I get there. Then they try to make me pay for insurance with is 10% of the cars value ($1400)... if you decline the insurance then you have to deposit the cars value ($14,000). On top of that customer service won't give refunds either. I will NEVER use this company again. TURO was much easier.

Prepaid 100 usd online in full for 2 days. Rejected insurance as my credit card has insurance. Came to the office. They said I had to either give a 10,000 dollar deposit or buy their insurance.. but I have credit card insurance which I used in over 20 countries.. Scam artists. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. And now they won't refund my money so im stuck with these scammers.
So whatever I'll pay the insurance.
He showed me a bill of 180. I asked if that's for the car and the insurance. He said yes. But I already paid 100 for the car online through their website so therefore I should be paying 80 for the insurance. He keeps saying no I need to pay 180 for the car and insurance. BUT I ALREADY PAID 100 THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE FOR THE CAR. Really frustrating.
THESE GUYS ARE SERIOUS SCAMMERS
Also incredibly hard to impossible to get a hold of their head office.
In total I paid 320 usd for 2 days for a normal car. Huge rip off.
