Worst place to ever rent a car, guy at the front desk wanted a 1800 dollar deposit, worse customer service, tried to contact customer service through the phone and they kept picking up and hanging up, same with live chat, they would answer a couple of messages and then was ignored, then tried on WhatsApp and somebody responded asking me to contact directly to an email from which I haven’t had a response in 2 days

Worst service ever! I was supposed to picked up the car at 10 am and the workshop was closed and nobody answer the phone, not even the main office in Cancun. I waited for more than an hour. I haven´t received my refund. Really irresponsable company.

They lied to us. We agreed on 850 pesos a day rental. We have them 1,000 pesos they refused to give our change. These are the most dishonest people on planet. I videotaped everything and will launch an official complaint to Europcar. Lets hope their head office isn't as corrupt

An hour wait at the airport another hour in the tent, but wait there is more! Now comes the insurance sell after we purchased a full coverage insurance. My sadness was no where near the sorrow watching a veteran in front of me get scammed into insurance on Veterans Day! ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS SCAM.

We were left waiting in the sun for over an hour, then the price of our rental was double what my reservation was confirmed at. The ongoing dispute with the central office is still ongoing for 6 months. Total bait and switch. Also, be very careful, take 100 pictures of the car before you take it because they are going to take 100 pictures when you return it, the fellow was literally on the ground taking pictures of the under belly of the body work when we brought it back hoping to find something to charge us for, luckily I had many pictures and videos to show him that all the tiny little specs were there before.

Everything went smoothly for us! We reserved a small car online the night before our day trip to Chichen Itza. The car (a new and clean Chevy Avio) was ready on time and there was no pressure from the employee for up-selling. We did agree to the basic insurance on the website before hand. We were able to return the car to a different location in Centro Cancun and the employees there were also very helpful and accommodating when we brought the car back after 8pm. They even gave us a ride to the ferry.

Ugh! Reserve online, prices are very high in the store. We had a really hard time, doesn't mean you will, but be prepared for a long process! Ours took 2 hours due to some complications...I hope you have better luck.

UPDATE: We used this location in July 2021without issue. We visited again in December 2022 and was charged twice for the deposit but of course only reimbursed for one deposit. A week ago I contacted customer service and still have not heard back. The agent had an issue with the credit card machine and swiped my card more than once. Make sure the agent only swipes your card once! ------ We used this location in Puerto Juarez in March-April 2021. It was my first time using Europcar. I believe the trick with this location is make a reservation in advance. They do not have much space to store vehicles. One person typically works this location, so as long as the hurricane shutters are open, the location is open. If no one is inside they are likely assisting another customer, which is what I encountered when I picked up our vehicle for a 3 week rental. I had to wait maybe 10-15 minutes. The agent at pick up and drop off was courteous and helpful. And my reservation was honored as booked without issue. They will place a large hold on your credit card for any damages but its released after the car is returned within 72 hours as long as there is no damage reported. ALSO-I would make sure you take note on the manual verse automatic bookings. I did not and booked a manual but was able to adjust my reservation reasonably.
