Europcar Car Rental in Monterrey Airport - 64000 Monterrey

They are fraud. they charge me 1100$ without my permision very bad service and anoying not to mention it took me 1 hour with lots of suffers

Great customer service. I was helped by Alejandra, she was very nice and helpful. If this is your first time renting in Mexico keep in mind that a deposit of about 10% of the value of rental is going to be required in addition to the cost of renting. It's will be refunded when car is returned.

Made a reservation with Fox for $128US. When I got to Monterrey airport MTY around 10:30 PM, I was told that I had to get Liability insurance even being stated on the rental agreement that Liability Insurance is included. The attendant told that I had to pay $35US more if I don't want the extra coverage I reluctantly agreed, the attendant added that I also needed a $10,000US deposit, I agreed. The attendant told me that the amount couldn't go through, he tried several times. I called American Express, AEx told that they were not seeing that transaction. The attendant told me that I could buy $77US worth of Insurance for a total of $205US with a $700 deposit, at that time it is already midnight and all the taxis are gone. I had no choice but to agree. When he ran the transaction the price went up to about $225US. I had no choice but to accept the bad deal, when I left it was about 12:15 am. I realized in my limited Spanish that for the car that I was renting the deposit should have been around $5,000US, that is why his system was saying that the amount was too large for the transaction. I feel that he knew what he was doing. I am very disappointed with that kind of scam.

Worst customer service! It seems they are doing you a favor to rent you a car. Would not recommend working with them.

Truly would not recommend this company. I reserved a van well ahead of my trip, per the website there are no surprise costs and that certainly was not the case. In addition to this, we waited close to an hour after checking in before driving away in an SUV (not what I requested — and it had to have the glove compartment that had to be closed shut with tape) obviously we won’t be receiving a refund for the hour they failed to deliver the vehicle to us for whatever reason. Please visit a more established company for your rentals.

Should have listened to reviews. A day after we rented car we noticed the rear break lights were out. We called and were told they would send a replacement. Waited all day and didn’t hear back. When I called back I was told to go to autozone to buy the lightbulbs and they would reimburse me. Spent my vacation unable to drive a car and later fixing it. On checking out, they said they couldn’t refund me the one day car was not used and had to fight to get reimbursed for lightbulbs. Didn’t like the way they do business.

Pick up process was quick and efficient. They did put a hold on my credit card as a "deposit" of $700 which I was not counting on....just make sure you have it in the bank..they'll release it after you return the car. The return was very easy...their suttle service..was efficient and the driver very professional and polite..
