Europcar - 45659 Guadalajara

I decided on renting a vehicle online through a company that's affiliated to this company. Unfortunately when I purchased the car rental I was given the option to purchase an insurance which I did, once I got to the location I was told the insurance didn't meet the requirements and had to purchase one there for much more plus they required a 380 deposit which luckily we had it. I felt bad for a couple people who did the same as me and couldn't get the car because they didn't have 500 to spare. GO DIRECTLY TO THE WEBSITE

Do not rent here!! So many hidden fees they don’t tell you about until you return your vehicle! First time we rent here and the last!

Today I stopped by to pick up car that I had reserved on Expedia. I purchased the collision insurance that Expedia suggested online.The employee at Europcar said that the Expedia collision insurance was not valid and she said that I would have to purchase it through them. I asked that if it was not valid then why would Expedia offer it online.She mentioned something to the fact that they were having issues with Expedia in regards to this issue. Then if that’s the case, Europcar and Expedia need to figure this out and not get my pockets caught up in the middle of their issue . I politely instructed the attendant to cancel the transaction, thanked her for her time and retrieved my personal information cards. While I was standing outside, another employee approached me with a lesser quote for the collision insurance that the first employee was attempting to sell me but once again I declined. You have to be careful with these “ bait and hook” tactics from these car rental places. I suggest you rent a car from outside the airport, which is what I ended up doing.. no hidden prices, very transparent, one price that covers for everything. Also, I will be contacting Expedia in regard to the insurance and informing them about my experience with Europcar.

At the airport the worker treat us very good gave us a very good price. Than at the agency at the time to sign the contract the lady who help us she started to tell us that the price we get at the airport doesn't really recommended because the insurance they offer us at first was the 90% only than doesn't cover no windows no tires no interios than my husband decide to get full cover, the lady at the counter sais is going to be $700 plus dollars!!! That's insane ? my husband try to humanize the lady because $700 plus for a week a small car Chevy onix the basic model no rear camera no electric mirrors. After all she gave us the price $597 dollars. But this is the first and last time renting a car here. Prepare to see your money ? fly right away.

Do not use this rental agency. Office is very dirty and poorly maintained which turns out is a direct reflection of the quality of their vehicles. If you reserved on their website they will try to say that it is not the real website and that you need to call and cancel and make the reservation again in. Their office. (most likely trying to scam a commission for themselves) they will say that if you purchased insurance online that you need to cancel it. They will say insurance is required which is a lie (again trying to get themselves a sale) Other rental companies in this area will give you a nicer car with a 200$ (USD) deposit. This place will charge you a 1000$ (USD) deposit. This was the worst part of my recent trip. Pay the extra 10$ or so a day with another company and avoid getting scammed.

We booked through Expedia at a rate of 67 dollars for 3 days, and purchased the full auto coverage as well through Expedia. One of the worst experiences I've ever had to deal with. The office was crowded, unorganized, and dirty. The staff was also not incredibly friendly. I understand we had a language barrier but I think they saw it as an opportunity to take advantage. They first off had only a manual economy car. They offered to upgrade us for $10 more a day to automatic, which we agreed. They then told us that our Expedia insurance was not valid with them and that we would need to go through their private insurance in order to cover us. We were incredibly confused and upset but again with the language barrier just got frustrated and agreed. They then offered us to upgrade our insurance from basic to full. At this point, frustrated with the extreme over pricing on everything we declined. We then after an hour and a half of dealing with the office finally got a car and left to the tune of 300 dollars. Thinking that we would be able to resolve the problems later by calling customer service And what a joke that was. Good luck getting through. I would never recommend this company to anyone. It really took a lot away from our Guadalajara experience.

Very convenient place to rent a vehicle it's close to the airport and they pick you up and drop you off, very friendly and dedicated staff...thank you Sinai you are a great human being ?

Get accurate prices and information through the Mexican website. You will get an extra fee through your US bank because you will be paying in pesos but is totally worth it. Recommend full coverage and always book in advance for the best prices. The vehicle given was clean and works just fine. Once you get off the plane and pick up luggage, you'll see their eurocar stand and they'll escort you outside for your free ride to the rental place. Also worth the tip.
