★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely terrible service. I paid for a car (and insurance) in a booking through Expedia. When I went to collect the car, I was told they didn't recognize the insurance I paid for when booking, and that I would either have to pay a fine (for not having insurance!) and a $14000USD deposit or pay insurance which was more expensive than the car rental itself. Don't waste your time with these guys, book a rental in the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good experience. I have rented a car here (directly through their website) and everything was smooth. Only tiny issue was that I paid online with my virtual debit card which is not accepted for verification during the pick-up so they had to charge me again with my physical card, however the original payment was returned in couple of days just like the agent said. Deposit was also released in front of me. Handover was smooth, no issues, everyone was very polite. Good experience! Book directly with then without using third parties and I think it will help avoid lot of problems with insurance etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ APESTAN. Bait and switch. Llegas con reserva de Expedia + Fox Car con seguro incluido, y te intentan cobrar "seguro obligatorio" de 1500 pesos por dia. THEY STINK !.. avoid this place.. they will attempt to rip you off through a 'mandatory insurance' and charge twice as much as your Expedia or Orbit reservation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst service ever. Their rate is very high and they also want you to pay for a full coverage which is higher than some other companies. At the pick up point they were hinting me that if I did take the full coverage would be expensive to pay for small damages.
So, we took fotos and video of every small scratch and damage the car had and at the end when we drop the car back it was a stain in the drivers seat. How convenient was that in the video that we took the man who gave and shows us the vehicle was seating in the pilot seat, so we couldn't filmed it but even that I paused and zoomed the video in they claimed that the stain wasn't there BUT it was there. They said that was a sweat stain and that's natural but of course they made us paid for something it was already there. €45 for a stain removal.
Definitely we advise you to search for another car rental with beter reviews and prices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked an attractive offer through Rentalcars.com. We wanted additional insurance but this was not possible to book in advance. We only could do that in the shop, where suddenly the price was more than twice the price of the rental car itself. We had no local internet and weren’t allowed to use theirs to contact rentalcars.com to discuss. We in the end went with a basic coverage, still very expensive. When we had credit card issues and had to go on the internet, they suddenly did let us on (now that it was to get their payment in order).
Would never go here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst place to rent a car. Please run away.
We booked online with the Europcar website, apparently a good price but without online payment, for a car category presented as a Toyota Rav4 or similar.
When arrived in the Pick-up place (outside of the airport area) :
- they tried to force you with optional insurances, which are very expensive and if you want to decline, you have to pay for declining and the amount of the deposit (26 000 US Dollars) is crazy and the card does not work without explanation
- the car provided is a lot more smaller than the one announced, saying you book in category ; clearly it was not the same car category (Nissan Thick) !
Europcar goes with misleading advertising and a very dishonest way of treating us clients.
(We were 2 different clients in the exactly same situation at the same time)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not in the airport. About a 5min drive away in a shuttle bus. Small office, have Covid restrictions - so can be a bit of a wait time. No major issues. Rented relatively smoothly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible experience checking out. When I arrived I had presented the insurance I bought when booking the car. They didn’t accept and cornered me to be forced to pay the basic insurance WHICH COST AS MUCH AS THE RENTAL ITSELF. I had no choice but to purchase it as it was already late and I had no transport. It was an embarrassing and wicked situation. I would like compensation. As well as when they inspected the car there were scratches and marks everywhere. And they said if there’s any when I return I would be charged. Really? So when you’ve charged others for it you just take their money and never repair it? Makes no sense. I will recommend everyone DO NOT book or rent a car through Europcar Mexico
