Worst experience ever. Lower class car for a higher price in confirmed reservation. No warning on this, no English. Avoid at any chance.

DO NOT RENT EUROPCAR I would give them no stars if I could. This was the worst service. We arrived at the airport stand and we had already reserved online a month in advance. They didn't respect the price we had reserved and wanted to charge us double the reservation price for insurance. We lost the money we had already paid them online and rented with another company. DO NOT RENT WITH EUROPCAR.

If you're an American tourist, this is a good place to check out for a rental. A/C was cold as a deep freeze in the little Chevy Aveo. And it was cheap! Equivalent of 75usd a day for 4 days! Only downside is they dont give you a full tank of petrol when you set off. However you only have to return it with the amount you were givin at the start of the rental. No limit on distance either. Make sure you bring your passport or a picture of it when you want to rent a car.

Be aware that europcar blocks your credit card with 12000mxn for the time of the rent! And don't trust them for opening times. We wanted to bring back the car at 5:10pm but the station was closed (even if they told us that they are open until 6pm). We lasted there for two hours as the only one employee was discussing with previous guests. So we had to drive to the airport, bring the car back and drive back with the taxi. Additional costs and effort for nothing....

Good. I rented a Kia Rio. It was clean and ran well, no issues. Make sure to document all scratches and dings, take photos. Take the insurance, play it safe. Between the traffic and road conditions a few scuffs are not unlikely. It's a legitimate place with good cars. I will return..

The service was okay at best.. we rented the car online and where planing on using our American express card insurance like we did in Cancun last month. When we tried to pay the system was charging the high deposit in peso and our card wasn't accepted in the system multiple time. Later we figured out that it was due to it being in pesos rather than dollars. The deposit was high because we were opting out of their insurance. The next day we made a new reservation and purchased the insurance online. When we got to the rental place we were informed that we still didn't have their insurance and the insurance we purchased online wasn't valid to them because it wasn't their insurance so the deposit was going to be the same as yesterday. We just said fine and tried to pay it with our Amex, the balance was in pesos again, the card got denied. Since we got a different insurance and we paid with Mastercard and this time we noticed the balance was in dollars not pesos and the card worked fine. We though finally we were getting somewhere when they asked us for a letter from master card for insurance... we told them that the insurance we purchased online wasn't with our credit card and they didn't seem to know or want to deal with it. They were asking for the insurance policy to have our Mastercard number on it even though we told them that isn't wasnt through Mastercard. We asked if we could get charged for the deposit in dollars with our Amex so that it would go through and have the card insurance but that wasn't something they seem willing or able to do...

We used Europcar’s own website to make our reservation and expected to pay a $350 deposit per our reservation. When we picked up the car, they demanded a $10000 in US or else pony up $300 for additional insurance. We wound up wasting hours at Europcar’s office. A ripoff and a scam.

0 stars. AVOID THESE CON ARTISTS AT ALL COST! Not only is service deplorable but it is dishonest. I would advise to film thoroughly all the car in and out even if it is night when you rent. SERIOUSLY, IF FORCED TO RENT THERE, DO NOT TRUST THE INVENTORY AND DO FILM EVERYTHING. FILM INSIDE AND BELOW THE CAR. The guys in this agency have a specialty of finding imaginary or conveniently hidden defaults when you bring back the car. It happened not only to us but to the guy after us for whom they invented "micro scratches on the wheels"!!! . It seems the price you will have to pay in addition will be function of your nationality as we had to pay double the price of the victim after us. And do not trust the few positive comments as they were put by the manager and his team (see photos, Roney Teco being the manager of this fraud of an agency) I wonder if Europcar supports these practices but we have not heard back from them yet.
