About Evoke The Spirit

Evoke The Sprit started as a small shop in Sayulita, Mexico.  Together with Wiraxia artisans, Brittney Borjeson began designing a line of jewelry using traditional methods to create something new.  As time passed the collaborations grew to encompass many of Mexico’s indigenous and local artists.  Now the collections include textiles, ceramics, the cow skulls, as well the jewelry.  We are proud to bring you a selection of our offerings to this online store, and for a full selection of our goods, as well as a selection of many of our one of a kind pieces,  please visit us in Sayulita.

Beautiful hand "painted" skulls with yarn and incredible wall hangings. Highly recommended for art collectors.

One of our favorite shops in town! They have many creative and beautiful stuff made with natural materials. They also offer pom pom and macrame workshops.

My husband and I loved our time in Sayulita so much. This little shop is just beautiful and since we can't return there for a trip from Australia for a while we decided to order a ceramic skull from Evoke the Spirit to remind us of this special place. It just arrived in Australia in time for Christmas and we are so happy with it! We love the design and the colours are beautiful. Highly recommend.

Extremely well done shops - they have this home goods space, the workshop space down closer to the beach and a clothing store off the main plaza. All are really exquisite. They have partnered with artisans across Mexico to curate a unique collection. I love the naturally dyed rugs in minimal designs. I was recently in Teotitlan and could not find anything similar there. I’d personally rather spend a little more on a unique item I know I will cherish than load up on the small common items seen everywhere - many of which are now just made in China. In a shop like this, I know they have built lasting relationships with artisans and pay them an appropriate price for their work, which supports the future of craft in Mexico.
