Zacatlán, Puebla es un bello pueblo que ha sabido encaminar sus atractivos hacia un buen turismo, la arquitectura de su centro histórico ha sido conservado, destacando el conjunto conventual franciscano, concluido por la orden en 1567, según un medallón de piedra colocado en la torre sur. Éste fue tan importante que los frailes Juan de Torquemada y Toribio de Benavente lo visitaron en varias ocasiones. El 12 de mayo de 1845 se inaugura la Escuela Lancasteriana de la Divina Providencia en el claustro del convento San Francisco, después del incendio que sufrió en 1816.

This was so important that the friars Juan de Torquemada and Toribio de Benavente visited him several times.
