Excel Sense Hotel Boutique - 77717 Playa del Carmen

Not a fancy place, but it's nice enough, don't recommend having breakfast there though

Sooooo enjoyed my stay with them everyone sooooo hospitable. No phone in the room but everything I needed.be sure to request a tub.

Typical 2 star hotel. Dont expect much. What was nice is its located in a quiet neighborhood, with an oxxo and 2 good places to eat right by it.

Employees are rude. They had to change my sheets upon arriving. Maid never changed them from last guest. Hair and sex stains were on sheets. Room smelled like mildew.

The picture does not match with the reality, ugly, old, durty, not public transportation, the partíal kitchent does not work, sofá bed is a garbage, the owner will charge you even it is not what they shows in the picture, and the employee will enswer that the owner does not care about the maintenance of the place it is what it is becasue he is from other country. I'm VERY disheartened to say, but I must say AVOID AVOID AVOID , El Bistro Playacar, Excel Sense Playacar Boutique Hotel and the Rustic Beer Rooftop. This would have been our third time visiting the Rustic in its short time being open. We have also dined at the Bistro and on another occasion, had drinks at the bar. On Thursday, 1/31/19 - My wife and I attempted to park our bikes in the bike rack at the entrance to the Rustic Bar. We were met by a very arrogant and pompous older gentleman, silver hair, very short, wearing glasses (I think he was either the owner or manager of all three of these locations). He informed us we were not allowed to park our bikes in the bike rack unless we were guest of the hotel. This seemed very odd to me. If you want to go to the Rustic, where do you park your bike? It was very obvious the man did not want our business and made us feel as though we were not good enough. We have been here 4 weeks and have felt welcomed with open arms from all the other restaurants in Playacar. I will gladly AVOID El Bistro Playacar, Excel Sense Playacar Boutique Hotel and the Rustic Beer Rooftop.

Nice hotel for the price. Air con suite right next to 3 restaurants (1 of them doing cheap but huge pizza), laundry, newsagent and ice cream shop. A little away from the beach (15mins to get back into town) but makes for a quieter experience than being right in town with clubs open until 5am...... I really liked being here.

Excel Sense Hotel was a really great experience! We are a family of four, and were greatly accommodated! Considering the hotel was inside of Playacar, (A gated community) in Playa del Carmen, the price can't be beat! Minutes away from the golf coarse, and a stone's throw away from amenities, such as, a 24 hour convenience store, a quaint gourmet cafe and eatery, and a pizza spot! They went above and beyond, normal expectations, to make sure our stay was an experience to remember. Dollar for dollar, you would be hard pressed to find a better deal! Our family would highly recommend this hotel, for those not interested in paying the all-inclusive prices.
