★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Compelling history, fascinating and numerous structures dating back to late 1500's, spread out over a movie-set landscape and narrated by knowledgeable and helpful guides. Perfect way to spend a couple of hours. Loved the open mine shafts, coke ovens, long vent shaft building, and what once was part of the underground mine but is now an exposed open pit ravine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Historical place that reminds us of the mining past of the region. Most of the constructions are fallen and in ruins, part if the charm of the place. Like a ghost of the past. Arrive very early or you might get rip off of 50 pesos for a sample of mezcal and a brief explanation unrequested.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A landmark of the city. Not much to visit , most buildings are in ruins but the place is wild in the middle of cactus and the walk is very pleasant. Spectacular aqueduct.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I came, the place looked deserted, but that added to the special feel. I went around on my own, and then a guy appeared, asking to pay for the visit. I found 100 pesos too steep for what you get out of it (unguided walk in the send with not that many things to see), but well, in the end I still think this place is worth checking out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love going here as a little day escape from San Miguel. A very relaxed and casual day in Pozos. Santa Brigada is beautiful and picturesque, with a very interesting history. Most recently however, I didn’t see the signs up anymore, just at the entrance, so read there first. Then afterwards come back for a mezcal. They used to give a complimentary mezcal but now you buy it separately, and the little tasting room, which looks as if you’ve stepped back in time a few hundred years, is not accessible anymore, just to peek in only. Still worth the visit. If you don’t speak Spanish, study before hand to get some history. Much more interesting when you know about it.
