My family and I had the most amazing time swimming with the whale sharks and our guide Marco was the best. From the time Marco picked us up at our hotel to the end of the excursion when we were dropped back off at our hotel he was professional and showed so much passion about his company and what he does. His love for whale sharks was apparent from the moment we met him. He responded promptly to our request about booking this experience and we were not disappointed. Marco made sure all of us taken care of on the boat and in the water with these gentle giants of the sea! Our family made a lot lifetime memories this day and if you are thinking of swimming with the whale sharks you cannot book with any other company. We will be back to swim again with the whale sharks and hopefully we can book other excursions with Explora Mexico Riviera Maya, hands down you cannot book with any other company. Marco is the best guy out there and we really feel we made a life long friend with him. ? I also need to mention that El Captain Willie and Louis were also great and they served the best sandwiches and ceviche too!!!

This will go down in history as one of our best adventures ever!!? We stayed in Tulum and our amazing guide Marco arranged for perfect transportation to Cancun including snacks for the ride. On the way Marco did a great job explaining to us about what to expect for the day and as a bonus he has the best Italian accent and made us laugh alot. We arrived at the pier and were served breakfast and then headed to find the whale sharks. We actually got to see a large tortoise and dolphins along the way. We then got to dive w the whale sharks and oh wow what an experience!! There were so many of them and even mantas too. Marco was fantastic and took video and photos which he actually had to us that evening! The whole crew was fantastic and they really are a true family and care about everyone's well being. We had one young lady get sea sick and the care they offered her was first class. I was not expecting the fresh ceviche lunch we had after in the crystal blue water of la Isla Mujeres, it was amazing!! We can say with such confidence that Marco and his ability to create an experience of a lifetime is beyond a 10!! We had such a great time we booked him 2 days later for an unforgettable cave and Cenote experience. We were completely blown away by what we saw and how there's a whole world to explore below. We had the best day swimming with whale sharks with Marco! From start to finish he took great care of us - from great communication, snacks in the van on the way and even pouring water on my head when I was getting seasick! The experience itself is amazing, Marco and the crew work together to get you there first and have you jump in at the perfect time. The ceviche the captain makes is awesome too! Don’t go with anyone else, Marco will keep you laughing all day! We really enjoyed this bucket list experience

I can't say enough good things about Marco and his crew, Toto and Captain Esteban! They picked me and my son up in Playa at 5:00 am sharp and drove us to Cancun where we had a delicious breakfast on the dock before loading the boat. Marco was incredibly knowledgeable and hilarious the entire time! After about an hour's boat ride we were one of the first boats to arrive upon the sharks so we had them basically surrounding us. My 9-year old son was a bit hesitant, but Marco made him comfortable and assured him that he would be safe the entire time in the water no matter what. Owen and I jumped in and to our surprise there was immediately a big Manta only 10 feet beneath us, followed by half a dozen whale sharks within 100 feet, and some within 15 feet! Once we got comfortable in the water, Marco took my son by the vest and guided him right up to the shark (but not close enough to touch) so that he could get the best experience possible. Then on dive number 2, Marco grabbed my hand (while I held my sons hand) and dragged us both as fast as he could out to the shark so that he could let us go and drift just far enough away to get some great pictures and videos. We could have gone for a third dive, but my son had had enough of the open water, which was fine because we did what we came to do. Once the diving was finished we got back on track toward land and stopped at the most amazing beach for snorkeling and FRESH MADE ceviche. And I mean they made it on the boat while we played in the water. Once all the fun was had we unfortunately had to load up and head back home (all the way back to Playa). If you do this tour with anyone else, you will be missing out. Marco is absolutely the BEST guide for the whale sharks, and apparently lots of other things that I plan on doing next time!

Amazing once in a life experiences with Marco and his fellow partners. Marco brings the friendship, aside mainstream, adventure spirit to his tours and that make the whole difference. Highly recommended with no moderation

We found this company on Google/Instagram and booked a private tour during our Spring Break vacation!!! Marco was amazing!! So knowledgeable about the area and he let us customize our tour based on our families interests!!! It was so nice to have him with us on 5th avenue as well. The ceynotes were amazing and we can’t wait to come back to explore more of the area with Marco!

We had the best day with Marco! From the booking to the planning, Marco was in contact with us multiple times during our vacation- checking in with conditions and shark sightings. He picked us up from our hotel early as he said it’s best to be the first boat off the dock. Boy, was he right! We beat all the other boats to the sharks and had the sharks mostly to ourselves! The experience is a little bit chaotic- you have to jump off the boat at an exact time and swim as fast as you can to stay with the sharks. Marco was in the water guiding us every step of the way. From the time we jumped into the water, he was pointing us in the direction of the sharks and directing us on how to best see them and keep up with them. We had 2 adults and a 17,14 and 13 year old in our family. We were all in complete awe. There was another family on our tour who had 2 younger children (maybe 6/7) and the guides helped them so the parents didn’t have to be worried at all about their kids in the open ocean. Some things to note: sunscreen is not allowed as it is harmful to the sharks- even the reef safe sunscreens. So plan accordingly and take sun shirts and hats to protect your skin! Also- the boat ride is about an hour (could be longer or shorter) to the sharks in the open ocean. It is choppy and several people on our boat felt sea sick. Plan to take meds or motion sickness patches BEFORE you get on the boat to help yourself as much as possible! One of the things we really loved is that Marco was taking pictures and videos the whole time so we could be completely present with the sharks and not be worried about trying to capture the moment ourselves. After swimming with the sharks, we went to the most gorgeous beach for sandwiches and ceviche all served on a floating table in the shallow turquoise water. We loved loved loved our day with Marco and would recommend him a million percent!

Marco is the best. A few years ago we did the cenote tour with him as a extended family of 7 - 2 seniors, 2 adults, and 3 young adults / teenagers. We loved it!! This year when we came back to Riviera Maya there was no question we would do the cave tour with him. We cant wait to come back and swim with the whale sharks with him! He is prompt, organized, entertaining, and accommodating and informative. His love of his work and country is infectious And he does look like an Italian / Mexican viking! What could be better? Take it from me…when near Playa skip the the tours from your hotel or cruise ship (where someone else gets a big take) and the large expensive theme parks (which are largely fake) and book directly with Marco! You wont be disappointed!
