Crazy busy, loud and full life. Good place to go for straight forward drinks if you like that sort of stuff.

Visited in 2006. Near El Centro in a good part of town. At that time it seemed to be a local bar and some miners hung out there. Folks were friendly. Recently I read that it is attracting a college crowd at times. What I remember most is that it still had a piss ditch. That being a tile trough below the foot rest in which to piss or spit as needed. I have seen these in bars before in Nevada and Colorado, but here it appeared to be operational, although I didn't have the cajones to test. The clientele explained that the name El Incendio referred to a mine fire, although I couldn't be certain as I don't speak spanish and the extreme porn film blaring on the TV sort of blocked out the conversation. Worth a visit. There was another minero bar on paso de la presa, on the left side, not far past the tunnel. Folks were friendly there too.

A somewhat limited menu (Mezcal cocktail and different kinds of beer), but extremely lively crowd and music! Will visit again if I am back to Guanajuato in the future.

I don't think it is a place I would recommend to people visiting Gto for the first time. You might feel a bit enclosed and it smells bad. The thing is, this place has recently become popular among students who enjoy having cheap drinks and singing vernacular music.

It's an interesting experience in Guanajuato. It's kind of small, cheap and crowded during the weekend. The mens bathroom it's literally in front of everyone and of course, only for doing pee. They have cheap drinks though, so it's a good place for starting the night.
