Family Selection at Grand Palladium Vallarta Resort & Spa - 63734 Punta de Mita

Zero stars!!! Worst vacation EVER!!! I was lied to; being told they had a butler service. My room had mildew and broken furniture. The food was so terrible I had to eat outside of the resort daily. I spent a lot of money on taxi's due to the resort being about an hour away from Puerto Vallarta. Staff was nice but it did not make up for the room and being lied to for an extra $140 (for a butler). I was refunded the $140 after speaking with the manager after realizing I was lied to. I spent a great deal of time speaking with management due to having to switch rooms, ordering room service twice and no one coming, and other issues. I would NEVER stay here again. It was so bad that I was offered a free stay for later and refused it!!! BTW this is my first time writing a negative review. I felt I needed to in order to help others to not have to have their vacation ruined!!!! Puero Vallarta is a beautiful place and you shouldn't have to spend it in a place like this!!!!

Not the best experience during my stay...we agreed to pay extra for the "upgrade" Family Selection area at check-in..it was not worth it. The room we received had some issues: A/C not working properly, mini-fridge was broken, patio sliding door did not lock...we reported these issues and it took a while for anyone to come and "fix " the issues...after a few visits by the maintenance guys, with the constant interruptions, the problems persisted...we finally were transferred to another room and were promised that there was no issues with the new room....not true ?....I guess all of the rooms are the same...I could not enjoy my honeymoon at all...nice, but outdated facilities,SPA was ok...restaurants are typical, entertainment is limited.

We arrived for check in and realized they placed is on the fifth floor with our 5month old and they have no elevators. We asked to be moved but they could not accommodate. If you’re traveling with the kids make sure you ask for the the first floor or be prepared to walk up flights of stairs. I wasn’t that upset until this happened we asked for water at six in the morning and they didn’t bring in till 1 o’clock in the afternoon. My husband asked the front desk and i guess you can’t get it from anyone until they do there rounds to your room. We ended up going to the store and bought water. Then they assign someone that will be sending you a message for your dinner reservations when you arrive. That person never reached out. We had to go let them know. They gave us a verbal confirmation of each restaurant we selected for dinner but yet they never added us. When the time came to have dinner. We where sent away as there was no room. We ended up going to Makai Restaurant 10min from the Hotel that day as the buffet restaurant was so busy we’d have dinner till 8. Honestly the best part of our trip was our drive to Sayulita (25 min) they have great restaurants coffee shop and I recommend the Oz Botique Hotel if you’d like to stay in the town 1-2 days. You definitely have to check out this town if you’re nearby Google it has a nice atmosphere and good food.

The family selection side of this resort is wonderful. Is skip the buffet and bamboo restaurants, but others are very good.

We can’t say enough good things about this place! The activities directors have events around the pool and beach every single day- fun way to get the guests involved and meeting new friends. We especially loved “Candela & Sofia, and the entire crew were amazing: Saul, Danny Boy , Fernanda- Thank you for making our vacation exceptional! And the bar crews by the pool were so attentive and always bringing you anything you need with a smile And really went above and beyond their call of duty! “ Thank you -Tomas, Fernando and all of the other bartenders working during our stay- you are awesome!!! Also, today we received a couples massage and I had Ramona and she was absolutely amazing - and the hydrotherapy was an awesome touch to the experience. Please be sure the staff mentioned get rewarded for providing exceptional service and we will definitely return to see everyone soon!

This place is awesome ! Great views , good food and super friendly and helpful staff ! Especially our concierge Alejandro Orozco, definitely coming back and recommending it to friends and family . 5 stars

This is a great place to go and relax. Food at the Mexican restaurant and the nest were top notch. On the family selection side to have your own personal staff to help you make reservations and arrange things and bring you anything that you're looking for is amazing. Family selection side was a lot less crowded than the other side.

We have been (family of 4)dozens times in 4-5 star resorts in the preferred club (family selection in this one)in Puerto/Nuevo Vallarta area and always have been pleasantly surprised from the service, variety of the food and the drinks BUT this time this wasn’t the case. With purchasing the higher all inclusive package we were told we will have access to premium drinks foods and restaurants BUT that wasn’t the case. I asked the bartender for tequila Don Julio70 he said I need to pay $10 per shot. The food was a little above the average but far from the rating on the resort and some pools even didn’t have any food or snacks and if you try to go and seat down outside in the buffet they don’t let you go in if you’re not wearing at least short sleeves. So technically from the pool you have to go to your room change to go to lunch go back to your room change it again and go back to the pool That’s not nice vacation for us!!! And at the end they don’t let us go out from resort with our taxi (we bought entire package including ground transportation from and to airport)until our driver pay him Bottom line-we DO NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL THIS RESORT
