Farmacia Pharmacy PDC - 77720 Playa del Carmen

This pharmacy sells fake medications and overcharges continually. Do not buy at all.

I went to this Pharmacy yesterday to get a medication I take for a serious incurable disease. I spoke with Rosalina. She quoted me a price of $800 pesos. This was expensive to me as I am disabled and have to rely on social security disability, however I can’t go without it so I purchased it. When I got back to my room I saw that she charged me almost double. I walked (no easy task for me) back down there this morning to see if it was an error, or on purpose. She then told me that the brand name is 1500 pesos and the generic is 800. She then printed out a receipt of some sort that said they don’t sell generics. Why quote me a price for a product you don’t carry. My receipt doesn’t have the “no generics” statement on it. I have had an excellent experience here in Playa del Carmen. This is the first time I was taken advantage of. What makes it worse is that now I can’t afford to go get my groceries for the week. This is the Farmacia pharmacy PDC located in between Boulanger La Brioche & La Cueva del Chango (both phenomenal places to eat btw). I will not go here or any other location of this brand of pharmacy. She even gave me her card with her name on in case I needed my prescriptions in the future, even offers delivery. If they were honest that would have been great, since some days I’m unable to get out. This appears to be a place people go for pain pills or Xanax, etc. more like a drug dealer than a pharmacy. I’m so disappointed, knowing there is nothing I can do. I won’t let her ruin my 4 months here, but she definitely ruined my week. Taken advantage of sick and dying people is pretty disgusting.
