Very nice place, 100% recommended either for walking and taking photos. The good thing is that there is surveillance and they are friendly. The bad thing is that there is a truck selling drinks so that encourages the pinch3 people to leave garbage. In the lower half of the arch there is a stream and it looks like sewage as it smells pretty bad. Outside of those details it is advisable to go. DO NOT THROW GARBAGE HDSPM AND RESPECT THE INDICATIONS OF THE CAREGIVERS

Me fui acercando.
There is nothing to object to in terms of the beauty and majesty of the work, a true feat of 16th century architecture, it is very photographic and offers great views. However, today, Thursday, February 24, 2022, when I visited the place for the first time, I was left with a very bad taste in my mouth because I was there for about half an hour, I walked around the foot of the structure and in the distance I noticed that there were some people, on the other side of the train track that passes under it, right in the middle of the arcade, and they were some policemen, I guess municipal police. I saw that they had, from afar, the intention of addressing me. I got closer. I was close to my car for any emergency or need or if a pack of stray dogs came out (unfortunately many are seen throughout that area), because the place was ALONE, and it had been a long time since I had heard, although it sounds contradictory, the silence almost absolute. It was fun, by the way. Words more, words less, and I don't know if their intention was genuine or not, they told me to pass my car on the other side (I had no idea how to do what they were asking me to do) by the train track and because there is no way to do it. They told me that it was very "dangerous" for me to be there and that I better go to the other side because I even ran the risk of being "picked up"... well no, it's not the kind of thing you want to hear. I had even made 'friendship' with a poor stray dog that at first I had some respect/fear for, but she was very friendly and I ended up giving her water to drink, because it was very hot. I ended up leaving and I had pending photos due to that warning/recommendation. Sad and although arriving involves traveling through some desolate roads but with interesting postcards, I was never afraid to arrive or when I was going back. Hopefully in Edomex they get their act together and the tourist places are better cared for and that instead of thinking twice about whether to go or not, you have all the confidence to go without fear.

The place is very beautiful, the arches are impressive and for being more than 400 years old they are very well preserved. They are truly the historical heritage of Mexico. The area where they are found really seems to me to have a very beautiful landscape, the train tracks that pass underneath give it a more interesting air, and the river that passes underneath would also give it a super extra marvelous if not why is it very very contaminated. From there on out there is only that to see here, but it seems enough to me. I would recommend that you visit this place on the weekend or on a public holiday, since more people go (although it is not really crowded) and that makes the police attend to watch, that seems good to me because you hear that there are robberies later in the place since although the surroundings are beautiful, they are also lonely.

Although there is not much infrastructure for tourism, it is worth going to see one of the most important hydraulic engineering works of the 17th century in Mexico. The labor and raw materials were provided by the nearby indigenous communities, which left witnesses in the architecture, in the same way, is an important part of the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, both registered as world heritage, so there are reasons to know, if you take your food you can have a comfortable day in the field, you just have to try not to leave garbage nor be so late for safety

Hidden gem! Don´t miss if you are in the Teotihuacan area, but take a sun hat or go later on in the afternoon. The light is better for photos then anyway

A nice place to be. UNESCO world heritage site without the tourists. People say it's difficult to get here by public transport but it's not. Just got to Pachuca or Ciudad Sahagun and there's a bus straight to this place. No entrance fee. Can just walk around.
