Siempre primaverales y llenas de historia, de recuerdos y nostalgia, para recordar a la chica que amaste de niño. Donde jugaste, corrias y jugabas con aquellos parbulos como tu. Es la ruta que siempre elijo para nutrir mi espiritu. Que mas puedo decir si ahi naci. Antiguamente era un gran huerto que llegaba casi hasta los viveros. Dicen que Chimalistac tiene las mismas dimensiones que el Vaticano, es sorprendente, sólo déjense llevar,y sobre todo, lleven a su novia, a la chica de sus sueños
The most FANTASTIC place of my life is the Church of Chimalistac San Sebastian near San Angel, in the Plaza de Federico Gamboa, and the streets of Santa. Always spring and full of history, memories and nostalgia, to remember the girl you loved as a child. Where you played, ran and played with those parbules like you. It is the route I always choose to nurture my spirit. What else can I say if I was born there. Formerly it was a large orchard that reached almost to the nurseries. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Anteriormente conocida como Plaza Chimalistac, cambio su nombre a Plaza Federico Gamboa en honor al autor de la novela “Santa” e incluso dentro de la plaza se puede observar un busto de Federico Gamboa. Para escribir esta novela el autor se inspiró en la zona de Chimalistac, por lo que no es casualidad que aparte de que la plaza lleve su nombre algunas calles de esta zona lleven el nombre de personajes de la novela, tal es el caso de la calle Santa (personaje principal de la novela) y la calle Hipo (la cual hace referencia a Hipólito, el pianista invidente enamorado de Santa). Como dato adicional, la primera película del cine sonoro mexicano, se llama “Santa” y está basada en la novela de Federico Gamboa.
