Went there at the recommendation of the hotel I was staying at. The hotel made my appointment and it was in walking distance. I arrived on time for mani pedi. The girl who was going to do my mani pedi was unaware that I understood some Spanish and proceeded to talk to several other staff members about me in a rude way, saying that she was going to get sick and get COVID from me. I’m not sure why she thought that considering in order to travel you need to be tested. Also, if that was a concern of theirs, they could’ve asked if I was vaccinated- which I am. Also, for someone so concerned, she wore her mask under her nose the entire time. I felt very uncomfortable the entire time I was there. It was not a friendly or welcoming atmosphere at all. I was surprised really, that this very beautiful, accommodating hotel would recommend such an unfriendly place and I shared that with them when i returned. Another issue I had was when she was cutting the cuticles on my toes, she literally yanked out an ingrown toenail which bled and was later infected. When it was time to leave, at the front desk, and with whom I can only assume was the manager or owner of the salon, I was further made to feel uncomfortable and I believe they tried to overcharge me, but this i am not sure of because they list no prices for the mani pedi, but clearly they were up to something as they calculated the price and giggled the whole time, at my expense both literally and figuratively. I tipped the girl well and looking back I’m not sure why, she certainly didn’t deserve it on any level. Wish I could give no stars. I don’t recommend this place if you’re not some fancy Spanish speaker. Hopefully this review will be seen by tourists/visitors and they avoid this place!
