★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My local go to place. They have a little bit of everything, from laundry bags to makeup, buckets to plates to tools to universal remotes and now clothing too!! Don't forget to look up, lots of stuff hanging from ceiling.
If you need a tool for an oddjob - this is the place or the odd nail or screw - they're on the floor in jars.
No English spoken, which leads to some fun mimes!
A small plumbing or electrical problem? Try this place first, they might have what you need.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty good little spot to get household goods. They have a great selection of ceramic pots and cookware. I've also had luck buying some tools here. Nothing you're going to start a craftsman career with, but you could certainly hang a picture.
Also, if I remember correctly, many things have prices on them. PRICES!! No haggling, no questioning. It's right there on a sticker.
If there's something you need for the house and don't want to travel out of the core, try San Antonio first.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When all the other downtown Ferreterias are closed, these guys have what you need usually for tools and fasteners. A great place for couples as there is the men's hardware side and the women's home furnishings and beauty supply side. Plus, they are open late, so it could even be worked into date night in a pinch. Lol
