★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having taken both of the mason ferries to/from Cozumel, Ultramar was the clear winner. Their catamaran was so much smoother, they had live music, and the seating was more comfortable. Worth the hour wait or arriving an hour earlier to use their service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used the ferry for a back-and-forth trip to Cozumel and back. Asked for the normal tickets but got basically scammed for the price of a "premium-plus"-tickets which include nothing additional besides the price. They oversold the 10am ferry and the leftovers were ferried over on a smaller vessel which amounted for a tad nausea-inducing ride: at least the smaller vessel leaving late was faster so we didn't lose time overall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took the ferry when traveling to and from Cozumel for an excursion on vacation. The boat ride took about an hour and had some live entertainment on board. The ferry is a little rocky but is largely kept in good condition. Worth the price and the trip to Cozumel for the day!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience using Ultramar. Fast and easy way to get to and from Cozumel. The ride is great and the price is responsible for the experience. They have bathrooms on the ferry and they sell snacks and food. The ride to and from playa del Carmen is about 30min
