DON'T SIGN ANYTHING, they are a scam! I made an online reservation for a car and then I got the insurance, both with booking.com. When I arrived to the facility, they told me the insurance that I bought online was not valid, because you need to get the insurance strictly with them (Firefly/Hertz), they offered me the basic insurance package for $40 per day, but If I would purchase the blunde insurance it was just $34 p/d. So I was like: ehhhh I already got MY insurance, but I didn't want to spend so much time arguing so I got the bundle insurance with them for $34 per day x 7 days = around $238. When the agent printed my reservation, the total amount was absurd!, I told her it wasn't the $34 as she mentioned earlier, but she tried to convince me that amount is just in case 1.-I wouldn't return the car with the tank full, 2.-I would like to get a premium assistance if something happened to me on the road or 3.-If I wanted a premium return... it was all optional. So I told her: "NO, I just want the insurance and that's it, I don't need all of these" so she insisted that WAS NOT the amount I was gonna pay at the end and it was ALL OPTIONAL for me at the time of return. Return day came and they asked me to pay that amount and I was totally upset. One of the agents told me their co-workers use that technique so they can charge you more and take a comission, which made me SO MAD, cause it affected my vacation budged by a lot. I opened a case and of course they haven't respond. DO NOT RENT A CAR WITH FIREFLY/HERTZ

Wish I would’ve read the reviews first. This company deserves no star. Complete scam. We booked via Priceline with firefly and it appeared to be Hertz. As we understood no matter where you book your car via third party websites the shuttle will bring you to Hertz. Waiting time around 3 -4 hours and hundred people around. The price jumped from booked $177 to $1400 with their insurance and if we decline they asked for $14000 deposit. We booked full size suv 7 sits and 4 luggage spaces, and the first car they give us didn’t fit even one suite case with 7 sits. With about hour of arguing they gave us mini van dodge caravan. The car was in a very bad shape and barely driving. Not to mention that they asked even more money for the mini van and while arguing the representative started to threaten us telling that we are not in United States to complain and we should take the available car and go. We returned this car next day and rented from next door Avis with no waiting time and any problems.

I had a reservation but they had no car for me nor anyone else. It was chaos. I was there almost three hours before I finally got a car. I had to pay 2.5 times the original price of $98 to get an "upgraded" car. When I finally got my "premium" car. It had no hubcaps and had been hit in the front quarter panel. The other people in line were openly laughing at this car. When I returned the car to the airport, they tacked on another $100. So ultimately, my $98 car was costing me over $350. There were many other problems I have not taken the time to explain in order to prevent this review from being to long. Just don't use Firefly or Hertz. They are the same company in the same building with the same staff and manager. They had zero interest in customer service. They knew I had to have the car and they gladly rammed it down my throat at an inflated price with no willingness to compromise. Beware! Update: After a month of filling out dispute forms, my credit card company denied Firefly the additional charges they tried to charge me. Firefly did nothing to help. Thank God for Citibank. $98.

Zero star Just as other reviews have pointed out, this car rental is a scam: - You have to wait for a shuttle to take you to their office. They are not located at the airport - You have to wait an hour or so to get a shuttle back to airport when you return the car. People jump on each other to get inside the shuttle. - The agent says you need this insurance and that but they will be refunded. Suddenly when you return the car you see nothing is refunded and you got two unnecessary "insurance" which your CC already covers - Service is as slow as hell. Waiting to get the car took more than hour. - There is no organization and order An extra $230 fee for an absolute scam. Don't sign any paper until you fully read what they have put in the contract or better don't do any business with this fraud rental.

Wish I had read the reviews first! It’s a complete scam. Rented through Expedia at firefly and it turned out to be hertz. There’s a $39 fee to line up inside. And they requested a $8000 usd hold with 5% service charge if decline their insurance. There’s no social distance during covid, they threw hundreds of people onsite. Put money aside, run for your life.

This place is a scam. I rented from the USA on Expedia when I got there they tried to upsell their insurance. I kindly declined because my credit card offers protection and they ended up cancelling my reservation. Then being stranded with no car I had no other option but to book with them directly. I would’nt recommend this place to anyone stay away

Cars are in a very good condition and cheap. But the service from employees is so so bad, I wait to make the paper for my car a long time, plus a guy came after me and was getting his papers for car faster than me. They speak Spanish, maybe that's way I get my papers after. Unprofessional!!!

I highly recommend NEVER renting a car from this company!! This was the WORST car rental experience I have ever had! They make you pay extra insurance - which is more expensive than the rental itself - (in addition to the one you already paid through the website) and also a huge security deposit. I stayed more than 3 hours in the rental company before they handle the rental car to me. The employees are rude and don't try to solve the situation. There is no honesty within the company. In the end, after an awful service, they still ask for a tip.
