★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was in a bind after I arrived and the lady at budget car rental tried to gouge me for over $400.00 in full coverage insurance when I had already purchased full coverage insurance through velocity but they wouldn’t accept the insurance there. The people at firefly were quickly able to help my family and I get into a better, more affordable rental vehicle with full coverage.

Before you sign anything they will charge you extra on your credit card and not let you know.
If you ask for a refund they will ask for your banking information, which you should never give as they will steal more, and let you know that they can’t do refunds.
After all, the extra amount charged was as expensive as the rental for no damage (proved with pictures).

Their office is in a shack about 1500 m outside of the Terminal. No Shuttle provided, no information where to find them. Good luck if you don't speak Spanish.
No cars available at all!
Small "Office" full of angry customers. Stuff not capable to handle the situation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a shame renting a car with this company , honestly they are really out of his mind when asked me to deposit the value of the rented car, how come? , Shame on you firefly! I made my reservations by Expedia and confirmed an SUV car and they wanted to give a lower level of car , don’t make a deal with this company like a Mexican I’m really disappointed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reserved a car with firefly online 2 months in advance. When I arrived at the airport in Merida, the firefly rep was not there and when I asked other car rental people if they knew the rep, they laughed and said the firefly rep wasnt coming because they did not have any cars. One of the Alamo reps called firefly for him to come to the airport for me, when he arrived, all he said was "sorry but we don't have any cars". Being the Christmas holidays, most car rental places did not have any cars left and I ended up having to pay triple what i had reserved the firefly car for. never again with firefly!!! stick with the higher end car rental agencies to avoid problems, even if they are more expensive. Unfortunately i have to give 1 star but they don't even deserve that!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a scam, they quote a low ish price for vehicle but when you arrive they nail you with insurance costs. For example online quoted 13k pesos for vehicle but at counter quoted another 40k with insurance. A scam, monopoly theft. I took an Uber and found outise airport a better price deal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I reserved a car at a great price a week ago. Today I arrive at the rental agency, wait an hour in line, just to have the clerk tell me that they don’t have my car that I reserved. Instead, she offers me another car for twice the price. When I tell her that she needs to give it to me for the price that I paid, she refuses.
