Great fishing trip with the crew moderato and Luis caught a couple of mahi

We had a trip with Luiz, everything went smooth and we caught a couple of small/med fish. Luiz was trying to be helpful throughout and helped prepare the bait and put it on the hook. The price was good, but i didn’t feel the personal touch that you get with a good guide. For example we were not explained how the deep sea fishing works or various tricks they use - he would just do them, so not super informative. Another strange thing I found was that even though we had a group of 4, we had to rotate the 3 rods and Luiz was using the 4th, rarely offering it to us. So we felt in a constant wait. Overall it was an ok experience, maybe I’d go again but with a different guide

Chakis was our captain for the morning. He contacted me through WhatsApp well before our fishing trip. When we arrived, he and his first mate gave us such a warm, friendly greeting when we arrived at the boat. We did the introductions, got the pleasantries out of the way and we were off. It was an absolutely breathtaking sunrise and our boat was headed toward it- stunning! We stopped to catch some bait and off to try our luck. Before long, everyone was catching fish, well almost everyone ? They seemed to get one bite after another... I had to remain patient. My time would come. Chakis took us to a few different spots to fish and all of them proved successful, even for me. ☺️ We caught ALOT of fish! And a few different types. I mentioned to Captain Chakis that I liked ceviche, and he cleaned and filleted one of the fish I caught and prepared some for my husband and I on the boat. His chef skills were very impressive! It was the best I ever had. About halfway through our fishing adventure, a pelican joined us on the boat which made a perfect morning even more perfect. I got to feed it some of our sardines which was so cool! When we got back to the shore, they cleaned the fish we wanted to eat and a staff member from Asi restaurant asked us how we wanted it prepared and choice of sides for only $10/pp. It tasted spectacular! I highly recommend booking a fishing trip with Alondra III. It's excellently priced for what u get and it's definitely unforgettable. Can't wait to be back and do it again. Maybe we'll see u in May Chakis, try catching a marlin.?
