The hotel is very nice and clean. Everything is in walking distance. It's older and the hotel isn't perfect but the staff is great! We got the roof to Villa "pent house" it was well worth it. Be prepared to walk up stairs as there isn't an elevator.

This is the perfect place if you're not a cruise ship kind of person and aren't interested in running with the herd. It's charming, the staff is warm and gracious, the owner engaged and a great host, and it's in a great location. Really can't say enough good things about this place.

Lovely lil place! Staff is really courteous and friendly. The Bar is one of its kind and if u are really lucky, u can meet Sabrina(thank me later) I should note the splendid breakfast, one of the best we had, on our vacation.

Nice place, close to the ferry. Not close to any beach you can hang at!!! Don't have a pool. The rooms are nice (we took the superior) but the balcony is very small. Still you have a hanging place at each floor. Good value fir money but not anything more

Great place! I've been coming here for many years. Very clean, lots of hot water, good AC and a FULL breakfast included! Great bar and live entertainment. Employees all speak English. Great rates and in walking distance of the ferry, shopping and several really great restaurants. It's the perfect spot for a vacation.

Super friendly staff with great clean rooms 2 blocks from the ferry! We had the superior room for 2 nights. Blown away by the comfy king size bed, solid bathroom/shower with lots of hot water, & little breakfast nook with a TV. Will 150% be back! Special mention to Ivan. He was the best & friendliest bartender we've had in the month we've been out here. Don't forget to stop at Abelados accross the street. Stellar local food that isn't on Google.

Buyer beware! Our room was not as advertised, to the point that it felt like my wife and I had been scammed. There was no minibar, no tv, no telephone, no bathrobe, no mosquito net, no hairdryer, no alarm clock. There was no drinking water provided in our room, not even one of those tiny plastic 12 oz. bottles that are very nearly insulting. There were no hangers in the closets. The was not single picture on the walls. There was a safe, but it was locked. After it being opened by the staff, the bolts to secure it to the shelf or wall were discovered inside. It could be lifted out and weighed about four pounds. There was no towel rack in the bathroom, which looked like it wasn't quite finished. There were still spacers in the stonework, some alarmingly sharp. There was an exposed electrical junction box over the sink. The shower curtain was a 99 cent model from the discount store, hung from a cheap expandable rod. The bathroom windowsill was filthy with debris. What we did have is dust. The ceiling fan needed a good cleaning, as did the closet doors. The room had clearly been cleaned, but neither deep nor often enough. There were pipes sticking out of the walls to the right of the bed, and a cloth plugged into a hole. There were three white vinyl chairs provided that looked they'd been retired from a bar. The bar downstairs had its share of dust, too, on the chairs, the lamps, and the bartop. There were exposed wires hanging down from the ceiling where recessed lighting should go. Though the hotel is advertised as non-smoking, there were indeed people smoking. The rooftop deck looked nothing at all like the picture. Railings to keep guests from plummeting to their deaths would be a nice addition, but there were also no railings in the stairwells, which had dirty walls and broken marble risers with lots of sharp, jagged edges. The king bed was great, there were good sheets, and the staff was nice. The hotel is in a great location. Two stars for that. The WiFi existed, though it wasn't particularly strong in our room and went out often. There are dozens and dozens of other hotels to choose from in Cozumel at every price point, and I recommend trying any of them other than the Flamingo. Whoever is in charge here should be deeply ashamed.
