Flamingos Golf - Bucerías

Nice course with a challenging layout. Very well maintained. Super friendly and helpful staff. Everyone we met was great. We got a deal through our resort (Hard Rock). Only $35US. A great value. Our only complaint was the greens were quite inconsistent in speed.

Had a great day here, greens were running fast and smooth. Starter let me out on the back to start so I could have the course to myself. My caddy manrow was amazing, read the greens perfect and helped me drain a couple birdies. His yardages using just his knowledge of the course was always bang on my range finder. Found this course was better then the vidanta Greig Norman course, at half the price. I’m a 7 handicap so I’d say I know what I’m talking about.

Greens are slow and not level and not in a golf way. Seems like they weren't designed and graded right. 400 pesos for a ride along. Expensive all around. But otherwise a great course and experience. Recommended if $120 for an average course is your thing. Otherwise your better off at la lancha with a surf board.

Great course, fairways nice and open,but you need to stay on the fairway otherwise your liable to lose your ball in thick brush both sides. I had a great caddie Raul who knew the course very well, read the greens perfectly, yardage playing the wind on the back nine was challenging but fun,thanks to Raul i only lost 2 balls ,that i put in the water, he found two others on wayward tee shots. Greens were tight and fast, definitely will go back, with my resort coupons green fee is $70US, clubs were $40 us.

Reasonable cost/person for a round of golf. And the clubhouse has fantastic Food and drinks.

Flamingos is a solid design with playable greens but aching fairways. April 30, 2022. My interaction with the proshop and starter was very pleasant. I paid the rack rate $125, which includes cart and warm up balls. I proceeded to the range, which I had to myself. It had mid-morning shade and you hit off grass, which is fabulous and made up for the range balls, which had seen better days. There is a nice variety of bunkers, water, and trees put upon the undulating landscape to defend par and give this track its character. I like the bunker sand despite it being crusty from watering because it‘s nice and light, which allows the club to pass through it. The greens are in good shape and rather quick. The surrounds are almost as fast because like the fairways they aren’t being maintained properly. Fairways and surrounds show thin and uneven growth which often make for a tough playing surface. Tight lies, harshly long roll outs (into trouble), and uncut rough can be expected here. It reminds me of Marina Vallarta and Palma Real (Ixtapa), which also lack proper maintenance. Maybe because I’m older, but when I play tracks like this alone on vacation I take liberties with the rules in order to keep it fun. I allow for preferred lies from hardpan, excessive rough, unraked bunkers and the like (and I don’t post the score for my handicap). Though I never saw a Flamingo I enjoyed hunting birdies, and I finally got one on #18. That’ll keep me coming back!
