So. Freaking. Amazing! Friendliest staff and most wonderful food in Mexico! Chef came out and explained the menu in detail.

Where do I begin with this gem of place? I originally came to Folk for Pizza Friday (I eat pizza every Friday) and even before I sat down I was in love with the ambiance. I ended up ordering onion rings as an appetizer and my partner and I agreed they were the best onion rings of our lives. While waiting for our pizza we noticed what appeared to be the owner finely tuning the ambient lighting and making sure everything was just right. I was really impressed with the attention to detail and service. The pizza came and my god, some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. And I’m from New York. The veggie pizza is for sure the best ever. They roast the veggies separately which keeps the pizza from getting soggy from the veggie water. Genius. Anyway we loved it so much we decided to go back the next day, both for lunch and dinner ?. Everything we ordered was among the best we’ve ever had. And I was never a cocktail guy until visiting Folk but man, they make some amazing drinks. At dinner the second night, the owners, Thor and Isabel introduced themselves and we shared some drinks with them. It became clear that restaurants around the world should be using Folk as base standard for hospitality, attention to detail, and quality of food. It’s exactly how I want to feel at a place that is cooking my food. I want to feel at home and like the people actually care and want to be there. Thor and Isabel treat Folk like their baby and it really shows, from the incredible homemade decor to the custom music playlists to the perfectly tasting food and drinks on the table. A++++. I’m so glad to know this place and I look forward to returning to Bernal just to go to Folk.

we have attempted to visit Folk on several occasions, as they are only opened on Thursday to Sundays. the owners r extremely professional and pleasant restaurateurs to chat to about the city, the beautiful business, etc. the menu, chalk sandwich boards, was explained to us in detail by the chef...and both owners visited our table several times during our meal. they are setting a standard of culinary skills...premiere menu items, with professional service and an ambience to go w their interior designs...chairs, bar, wine racks...all designed and built by them. the large picture which is stunning, is the first thing that pops out at you as u enter the cozy dining experience. the tapas and pizzas were superb and the non alcoholic drinks were to die for...w the festivL going on the town was dry for 3days. beyond my expectations...see u again in the fall...cheers!
