One of the best dining finds. Great value and quality food and margaritas.

The food was ok, but the service was easily one of the worst I have ever encountered in Mexico.

Not sure why bad reviews, I thought food was great, good service, nice place for a quick snack.

Mexican markets typically have a delightful selection of diner stalls that serve great food at very low prices. Mercado de Artesanías (perhaps unsurprisingly) is an exception to this. If you've misjudged your schedule and find yourself in Mercado de Artesanías at eating time, Fonda Carmelita is very nearby, and it has food. Go with low expectations otherwise: moderately overpriced and bland fare brought to you haltingly by preoccupied servers. The watermelon drink (agua de sandía) was good, but that's always good.

Food was ok, service horrible!! We waited for ages for everything, the servant forgot all the time what we ordered, when one of us finally got the food, the other was already finished. Same with the drinks, same with asking for the bill. Salad served without sauce or spices. Just horrible. In the end she even asked for a tip. There were not many people and at least 4 servants, so the situation could not have been that stressful...

Regular place I would say. Chese quesadilla was okey. Friendly waitress.

Not recommendable. It's really tempting to eat here given its location. But I'd advise to stick to drinks only. The soup was extremely watery and tasteless. My chilaquiles were soaked in cream cheese (given that's on me, some people may like it) and my wife got enchiladas verdes. The latter were technically nice but served cold and lacked salt & pepper. On the positive side, the drinks are nice and fair-priced. The atmosphere is lovely if you want to have a good time after intense market shopping.
