★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is the definition of a hidden gem. Definitely nothing fancy, but a lot of locals, great food with large portion sizes, and incredibly cheap.
We had the daily lunch menu - a soup and a Pozole roja (but there are also other options) - that came with soft and hard taco shells, sour cream, lime, and a whole jar of delicious pear juice. Every other table was filled with friendly locals, and we felt absolutely welcome.
Don't let the looks fool you, try it out! We will most definitely return when we are in the old town again!
