Otro de los que antes eran centros de pueblos en la perifieria de CDMX y que ahora ya han sido totalmente absorbidos por la Ciudad, el antes-Zócalo de Mixcoac ahora es un parque con varios detalles históricos por el que vale la pena darse una vuelta si estás en la zona. El que era Ayuntamiento ahora es ocupado por un centro cultural, la mayoría de casonas más grandes ahora son parte de la Universida Panamericana aunque algunas otras siguen siendo residenciales y una cercana es librería/restaurante. También se encuentra una iglesia antigua con su convento.
Los detalles y tranquilidad de este parque hacen que valga la pena pero tiene un problema. El parque cuenta varios pequeños botes de basura suficientes para los transeuntes, lo que sucede es que la misma UP y varios de los vecinos y negocios de la zona usan estos botes como tiradero común y por eso es normal ver los botes rebasados y toda clase de basura en el piso cerca. Con que la gente que tira tanta basura se diera cuenta de cómo esto afecta su zona, y el servicio de recoger basura fuera más regular, este espacio tendría potencial de ser verdaderamente un oasis en esta zona de la ciudad.
Little park with history, and garbage problems. Another of those that were previously centers of towns on the outskirts of CDMX and that have now been totally absorbed by the City, the former Zócalo de Mixcoac is now a park with several historical details that is worth taking a tour if you are in the zone. What was the City Hall is now occupied by a cultural center, most of the larger houses are now part of the Panamerican University although some others are still residential and a nearby bookstore / restaurant. There is also an old church with its convent.
The details and tranquility of this park make it worthwhile but it has a problem. The park has several small garbage cans enough for passers-by, what happens is that the UP itself and several of the neighbors and businesses in the area use these cans as a common dump and that is why it is normal to see the overflowed cans and all kinds of trash on the floor nearby. With the people who throw so much garbage realized how this affects their area, and the garbage collection service was more regular, this space would have the potential to be truly an oasis in this part of the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un bonito lugar para tomar el fresco, consumir alimentos sin preocuparse por aire sucio, ya que difícilmente hay polvo. Los miércoles puedes retar a algún contrincante de ajedrez.
En fin, el lugar es muy cómodo y relajante si vas solo o acompañado. Las ardillas brindan una vista placentera al admirarlas trepadas en los árboles. Solo no las molestes!!!
A nice place to take the cool, consume food without worrying about dirty air, as there is hardly any dust. On Wednesdays you can challenge a chess opponent.
In short, the place is very comfortable and relaxing if you go alone or accompanied. Squirrels provide a pleasant sight by admiring them climbing in trees. Just don't bother them !!!
