★ ★ ★ ★ ★ En 1909 el General Porfirio Díaz, instruyó la creación de cuatro esculturas que representeran las virtudes Justicia, Templanza, Fortaleza y Prudencia, mismas que que adornaron la fachada del ministerio de relaciones exteriores hasta 1923.
En 1931 Fueron colocadas en el bosque de Chapultepec por mandato del presidente en turno Pascual Ortiz Rubio, sin embargo Adalberto Tejada gobernador de Veracruz en aquel año reclamó las esculturas pues de ese estado era originario Enrique Guerra quién fue el escultor que las realizó, de las cuales sólo se le entregaron tres de ellas; posteriormente se ordenó la creación de la fuente dónde hoy en día se encuentra la "templanza"

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ESTA HERMOSA FUENTE LA MANDO A CONSTRUIR EL PRESIDENTE PASCUAL OROZCO EN 1931 Y LA ESTATUA QUE LE DA NOMBRE ES OBRA DEL ESCULTOR ENRIQUE GUERRA DE 1908. NO SE USTEDES PERO PARECE SER UN PEQUEÑO RINCON DEL PALACIO DE VERSALLES.
THIS BEAUTIFUL SOURCE THE COMMAND TO BUILD THE PRESIDENT PASCUAL OROZCO IN 1931 AND THE STATUE THAT GIVES YOU NAME IS THE WORK OF THE SCULPTOR ENRIQUE GUERRA OF 1908. YOU ARE NOT, BUT IT SEEMS TO BE A SMALL CORNER OF THE PALACE OF VERSAILLES.

La Fuente de la Templanza es un lugar divino para hacer yoga o leer sin la masiva presencia de los visitantes.
If you visit the Chapultepec Forest, choose little frequented routes that are located on the perimeter of the I Section. You will be surprised with charming, quiet and bucolic spaces. The Fountain of Temperance is a divine place to do yoga or read without the massive presence of visitors.
