Very very bad experience. Stay away from them. They just loot you. They will try to sell insurance for 3 times the rental car price even though it is not required.

Peor servicio al cliente. Katia Diaz alegando con los clientes. No quiso explicar nada. No recomiendo esta ajencia. Worst customer service I ever experienced. Katia Diaz was extremely rude. They charged us for "car damage " that was already there. We had insurance that apparently didn't cover the damage on the car. When asked her to explain she shouted at me , so I just ended the conversation by walking away.

Disgusting. We own a home in Puerto Vallarta and have travelled to Mexico for business and pleasure for over 20 years. We’ve rented cars in almost every corner of the country. The car rental experience has dramatically improved over time, and I thought the “bad old days” of bait-and-switch pricing, vehicle damage intimidation, and high pressure for add-on charges were a thing of the past. Not at Fox/Europcar in Puerto Vallarta! We booked a car online, which included the requisite liability insurance, and received our “guaranteed” rate. Upon arrival, we waited in line while the couple ahead of us was badgered by the agent to add additional insurance – coverage that was not required since their credit card would cover damage. They walked out after a heated exchange. When our turn came - same thing! The agent literally refused to rent us the vehicle, saying that the liability insurance we purchased online was inadequate. He demanded that we add full coverage which would raise our $180US rental to $450US, or put a $12,000US “hold” on our AMEX Platinum card (the AMEX card more than covers added insurance requirements). Of course, magically, their credit cards readers were not able to make the hold charge on our card. My wife walked next door to Avis and in less than 10 minutes got the same $180US rate for a car, with no problems at all. While I awaited her return, I was astonished to watch the agent pull the same extortion game on the next couple in line. They left as well. The agent essentially refused to honor the online rates and turned away 3 customers in less than 20 minutes. Travelers be warned - Fox/Europcar should be avoided!

I had a similar experience in Eurocar in Mazatlan, Mexico a couple of years ago. They tried to rob me by not accepting the CDW and LDW coverage of my Master Card World Elite Credit Card Insurance, they said that I needed an "Official Letter from the Mexican insurance association certifying the coverages from my credit card". I talked with the manager on duty and he offered me a "bargain" own insurance that triplet the price of my reservations. They are professionals robbers, stay away from this nasty business.

I booked a car on Expedia, they said they are not accepting Expedia charge and asking for double, never ever try them or Europecar , same office, same people and same service.

Absolutely agree---Worst experience ever and I have rented many cars in Mexico previously. BEWARE---do NOT use this rental car agency ( Fox or also goes by Eurocar rental agency name). Extremely Long wait . Upsell pressure to buy insurance even though I had purchased insurance through Expedia. They are not to be trusted DO NOT USE--read these reviews!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Additionally, the car was dirty and poorly maintained DO NOT USE THIS CAR RENTAL AGENCY--be forewarned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Absolutely the worst car rental experience ever! Don’t believe what they charge online because when you get there the rate almost doubles with add ons. Everyone in the place waiting to get their cars was angry, arguing, screaming! A nightmare! In addition my bag was stolen while waiting in line for our car. Security cameras were conveniently down at that time. Lost everything including phone money and passport. Credit cards were being used at a gas station within1 hr. A scam!! When they suddenly don’t know how to speak English you pretty much can figure out what is going on. Tell everyone you know not to go here.
