★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is like my 7th or 8th time in Mexico city, and everytime I have stayed in this hotel. It's great, very friendly, perfect location, clean, and very well priced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great value. If you're looking for a safe, clean, comfortable and economical place to stay while you explorer Mexico City, this is it.
Rooms are small, just enough space for a comfortable double bed, bathroom and shower, and a vanity/ desk. Blackout curtains. Solid wifi
AMAZING STAFF!
CONS: busy street during day time, dead quite in night after rush hour. But if you're just hanging out during the noon drive, you will hear the street.
Bottom line: perfect for go go go tourists who need a great night's sleep and easy access to taxis and tacos.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As an international traveler, my 10 day stay in a standard room was wonderful.
The area is super safe, but a working neighborhood. If you arrive on a Sunday, or later at night, you might think the neighborhood looks unwelcoming, but it is actually very nice, and bustling on weekday.
A few blocks away to the north you enter the tourist zone and find more 'international' style restaurants and services. Walk 20 min to the Zócalo. Several metro stops are very nearby.
The neighborhood south of the hotel (opposite the central historic zone) was interesting and gave me some new dining choices with no other international tourists around. Again avoid Sundays which is a day off, and knowing some Spanish is helpful there.
Walk 20 minutes east to La Merced, the largest complex of markets in north America.
The rooms were a good size, excellent quality furniture, and lots of helpful extras for your convenience. The "double" bed was an American king size.
Housekeeping was excellent and always ready to help with any requests I made. The rooms and building were spotless.
The only hickup was my first night in a room facing the street, which was so noisy as to be torture. I think I got that from because I needed early check-in and it was available. In the morning I asked if changing was a possibility and was immediately given keys to a room at the very back. It was perfect. Most rooms actually face an inner courtyard which I'm told is even quieter.
In over 190 destinations in which I have stayed around the world, from hostels to $1500/night private islands, this is probably the best value for money I have ever found.
I will absolutely stay there again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect location but it comes at a cost, same as any other hotel in the city centre.
The hotel's right at a busy junction and up to around 11pm and from 7am you'll have traffic and loud car horns that may be a problem to some. I've stayed in Hotel Ambar that's even worse, so be aware!
With all that said, it's a very basic and cheap hotel and excellent for the cost.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 100% would stay here again, the staff was very helpful on all 3 shifts. The location is good (mostly empty after 6 pm) and convenient to Isabel La Católica when it gets late. Convenient parking.
The rooms are noisy and the beds are hard. But if you're a heavy sleeper you won't care.
Pillows are stuffed for side sleepers.... May be difficult if you're not a side sleepers.
