Great restaurant with perfect service and super tasty food!! Highly recommend!!

The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome right away and the Food was Amazing!!! Can’t wait to come back . We had Caribbean lobster and tiger prawns. So delicious!

Expecting a lovely meal & paid extra for a red lobster, we're in a group of 4. There was no lighting @ the table, we wasn't offered breads, the lobster was just warm with no vegetables, my grilled fish dish was only just warm, the rock shrimp was just hashed up version of the cocanut shrimp, the bumpy fish dish was totally unedable & cold, & finally the wine was watered down. Really not happy, expected so much more. If I could reward minus stars I would, Recommend they close down!!

We had the pleasure of selecting Frutos Del Mar as our anniversary dinner location during our visit to the Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal Resort. The welcoming was grand as the staff applauded our entry and guided us to our decorated table with anniversary accessories. The service and the servers were excellent. Now for the food. Delicious doesn't give a grand enough description for how we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Not to mention portion size. Our selections were mind blowing and palette teasing. Well done Chef, Staff and Team FDM. You made us welcome and gave us a cherished memory. Thank you for #ServiceExcellence!

We had dinner here a year ago and it was great. I can't say the same this year. We had coconut shrimp for appetizer. Sadly shrimp wasn't deveined. Sorry, no for me. Fried Caribbean fish - would not recommend. You will be picking fish bones from your food. Desert was nice. Servers were attentive. It's not their fault food was just average.

Good food and service. Some of the dip is not paired well with the entre. The welcome drink was ok. My bettery lantern on my table did not work. It was changed 3 times. I gave up asking for another one.

I dined at Frutos Del Mar on Jan 11th, 2022. Appetizer 3/5: “Crispy shrimp, rice paper and Nori seaweed accompanied with Avocado Mojo and Red Mojo” -basically fried rice paper with a dusting of shrimp powder but we’re a touch oily and slight soggy (might be humidity, might be from being fried too early). The red mojo was the tastiest. Starter 1/5: “Oysters Rockefeller au gratin” Do not recommend oysters here. They were shrivelled and tiny and chewy. Definitely not fresh tasting. Main 3/5: “Rock Shrimp” The plate it came on was chipped. The shrimp, not all of them were deveined which was a big no no in my opinion especially since they were already butterflies and it was supposed one of those fine dining restaurants. Dessert 5/5: “Pina Colada Ice Cream Sandwich”. This was delicious. It was warm and cold. I liked the texture and taste. Service 5/5: The service is very top notch. Waiters are super attentive and check up on you very often. A+ for effort. Service is quick. I dined alone but was in and out in 45min. Overall I’ve dined at 4 a la carte restaurants and service so far has been great at all of them but food I expected more wow factor.
