A absolutely excellent place to dine, we had to wait but didn't mind as we watched the chefs prepare dishes. We tried their catch of the day, spinney lobster with a truly tasty sauce and a steak. We were 5, and did have two bottles of wine a drinks but be prepared our bill was $350. But totally worth it!

We had SUCH a great meal to close out our Isla Mujeres vacation. Lots of great food on this island, but Fuego de Mar was our favorite. We had brisket, shrimp linguine, and the dos chocolate dessert.... Unbelievable. Wonderful wait staff, fair prices, lovely decor!

Absolutely stellar place entirely. Ambiance, food, drinks, service, music- it was all unreal. Best meal I’ve had all week on the island. The service here is unmatched. I had the lobster stuffed pasta and many mojitos along with the octopus appetizer and the smoked provolone appetizer- *chef’s kiss** everything was incredible. Top 10 meals of my life. Then topped it off with the coconut lemon cream. Oh my lanta. A “must” when visiting Isla mujeres!

The calamari was awesome, we also had the linguini and catch of the day, both were delicious.

We vacation in Isla Mujeres "a lot". Of all the great places to have dinner, this is our new favorite spot. Located mid-island, the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food is simply... perfect. I had the slow cooked brisket and let me tell you... This is the best dish I have had on the island, after 20 years of visiting here. Served with sea salted mushrooms, roasted potatoes, thin sliced fresh jalapeno and this incredible sauce made from pureed carrots and a hint of habanero. We asked for a little extra sauce and they brought us a 6 oz bowl full. We put it on everything! My wife had the lobster pasta. It was wonderful, but at twice the price of the brisket; I would have ordered two of what I had! LOL Our dinner guest had the catch of the day and this was something special... Perfectly cooked and encrusted in this fantastic olive dust that was both unique and worked beautifully with the fish. We finished it all off with a shared dessert of what they called a banana split. See the pictures for an idea of what it looks like. I am not normally a dessert guy, but daaaamn... Banana bread base that was coated in a caramelized glaze, topped with a mild coffee infused ice cream with a ring of frozen watermelon and jalapeno sorbet! Add a coke, margarita, a glass of sangria and 3 bottles of water and you are all in at $100, plus tip. Great unpolished yet charming atmosphere, this is a perfect romantic dinner spot!

We had a great dinner here. The Argentine owners are super friendly and the food was absolutely fantastic. Its a great atmosphere where you can see the cooks work away and prep the food. A perfect romantic dinner. We order 2 appies (salad and the Grilled Octopus), the Shrimp Fettuccini with vegetables, and the 16 hour slow cooked brisket (cut with a fork and melted in your mouth like butter). They also served fresh bread with an unbelievable eggplant spread (his grandmother's recipe). Even if you hate eggplant as we thought we did, you will love this. Topped our dinner off with a bottle of wine and it was a perfect evening. We had extra food to take home and could barely walk out of there we were so full. This was our most expensive meal on the island, but don't let that discourage you from coming. Spent $150 Canadian with tip or $2250 pesos (also had an extra glass of wine, a shot of tequila, and coffee with Kaluha...it was a great birthday night). Our favorite meal on the island. Don't miss this place.
